THE LATE-NIGHT CASUALTIES

The Late-Night Casualties is a south Florida rock band consisting of five members. Chris Cortes on the Vocals, Cowbell, and Keyboards, Brian O'lyaryz on the guitar, Jon-Jon the Phenomenon on the guitar, Jota Lance on the Bass, and Alex on drums.
== Origins ==

Back before the idea of The LNC was even thought of Brian O'lyaryz was the bassist for a band called Dinsome. After being in the band for a while, Dinsome decided to change their style of music and became the band known as: Lejeune. Due to creative differences Brian left the band.

Turning to help Brian went to Chris Cortes, who encouraged him to start his own band, so that he could create the music he wanted to be doing. After weeks of thinking it over Brian decided he'd do it. So thus the search for members began. Brian decided he would switch his Bass in for a guitar and became the guitarist of the band. He then went to the very man who gave him the idea to start this band, Chris Cortes, and asked him to jump on in as the vocalist and to use his cow belling skills in some of the songs to give it a type of flavor no one could describe. After many hours of dick sucking, Chris agreed with much glee.

Brian then went to a good friend of his, a legendary man known only to the world as Jon-Jon the Phenomenon. He asked him to join in as a second guitarist in the band, "With two guitars we would be unstoppable!" exclaimed Brian, to which Jon Jon replied "...sure bro."

Brian then went on to try and find a drummer, with no such luck. Until Chris told him he knew someone by the name of Jarod Hoffman. A legendary lumber jack who had seen his share of epic battles. Although the music Jarod listened to was completely the opposite from what the rest of the members were trying to make, he agreed to join.

Then of course one more thing was needed to form this band of young musicians, a bassist! Jon Jon spoke up and said he knew someone by the name of Erik Rodriguez. He of course agreed to do it.

The band then started to make music that was different from what was popular in South Miami and things were looking good.
== Changes/ First Show ==
After months of playing music and working on songs, the band realized they had not accomplished much at all and had only created one real song. Not only that, but they had not played a single show yet. The group realized this was because of the lack of dedication the band lacked. So they all agreed to take their practices more serious and to start making real progress. After months of more "intense practices" due to creative differences band member Erik was let go.
There was a problem though. The band had realized that their first show was coming up and they needed a temporary bassist. Brian knew just the person, he called up long time friend Jota Lance to come on down and help them out. He gave it a shot.
After two days of pure practice the band accomplished more then they ever thought they could. They made up a new song, and learned 5 cover songs very quickly. The band then went on to play their first show at a local AMC theatre. Their first show was a success. The band, having fell in love with Jota Lance and his bass skills, asked Jota on stage live to the audience if he would want to join full time. Jota accepted.
== More shows/ Recording the first Demo ==
With a new band member and high hopes, The LNC went on to play more shows with very popular south Florida bands including: Kill Jasper, Paper Tragedy, Legend of the Fall, etc. They kept spreading their influence around, while at the same time making more music.
After saving up money the band recorded a six-track demo and released it on the day of their one-year anniversary. The demo sold reasonably well, but to the band it was considered a failure. "The recording just wasn't what we wanted." recalls Chris Cortes " We wanted it to sound nice and it sounded bad."

== The Hiatus/ looking towards the future ==
Without intentionally doing it, the band took a hiatus from music. This gave Chris and Brian time to work on their movie projects and the rest of the members time to relax. However, after most of the members graduated from High School, the realization that if they want to be in this band for a living they would have to get cracking became apparent and so the band started to get back into the grove of things and then without warning the hiatus was gone.
The LNC then spent over $4000 on a recording studio and dubbed it "Late-Night Recording Studio", which of course is open to anyone who needs to record music of any kind.
The LNC celebrated their 2 year anniversary, and began creating a 10 part documentation series based off their days of rocking out, partying, and poop and fart jokes.
== Done for the Day/ Jarod's Departure==

After a year or recording and re-recording and then more recording and more re-recording (lost?) the band finally finished their Demo cd "Done for the Day". But the motivation to finish it, was somewhat of a sad one. Jarod Hoffman, Drummer extraordinare, anounced that he would have to leave the band and return to his epic lumber jack work he left in Missouri. All of us were deeply saddened, but Jarod needed to return to his land and we accepted it.
== The drummer Saga ==

With Jarod gone the band fell into another hiatus, this time for the purpose of finding a new drummer. After months of searching a man took the calling. His name: Kian. Kian was a long time follower of the band and wanted to give it a shot on the drumming front. However this sadly didn't last long, and Kian left the group with the intent of still following the group as a friend. However the band was still without a member, until another man took up the challenge. His name: Alex. Alex had locked himself away from the world and trained for months to become a master drums-men. When he was ready he called the legendary Jon Jon the Phenomenon and demanded an audition. Jon Jon accepted, of course. After being wowed by the sheer force of skill Alex had, the group pretty much had to accept him. And so, Alex became a new member to the LNC family.

== Currently ==
The LNC are currently working on new material and are getting ready to
play some more shows. Chris still wishes to become head Chief on
Iron Chief one day. "Honestly, I love this band with all my heart." Says
Chris Cortes. "But seriously, have you ever tried my beeforoni?"
