About Me
Ronnie Stack Dollaz has led a life has been anything but normal. He grew up the oldest of two boys in a middle class household in various neighborhoods on Chicagos Southside, but to those looking in from the outside, everything wasnt as it seemed. My father held a job always, to provide for his family. Its just that he was also an alcoholic and drug-addict, which led to a chaotic upbringing. We moved every year, city to suburbs, back and forth, new school every year, its kinda hard to retain any stable relationshipsSouthside, Westside, Oak Park, Lisle, Woodridgewe moved around quite a bit. You never feel like youre really at home, cuz you move so much. But now, pops is drug free, so its all good. Things got so bad between his parents that they divorced early in H-Rons life. It was hard, but I assume divorce is hard for any kid or parent for that matter H-Ron says. Around that time, he and his younger brother started running the streets and rebelling and getting arrested. Since the divorce, H-Rons father remarried a white woman (How can I hate white people? I have some in my family, matter fact, my step mom bailed me out of jail personally more times than my father or my mother, so) with two daughters and the family relocated to Californias Bay Area. Even though he left Chicago physically, it was always in his heart. One reason is that his mother still lives here. Me and my brother Matt lived with Dad cuz the courts decided that was what was best for us at the time. Mom really couldnt afford to raise us and we were running wild. But I always felt bad cuz we upped and left her. While in California, now aged 16, H-Ron continued school, but also started selling drugs to supplement his income. In order to hide the money he was making from selling, he got a real job so that his father would not find out what he was doing. I worked at maybe two jobs, just to kinda mask the loot I was stacking. But what is done in the dark eventually comes into the light, cuz my Dad and Uncle Doc found some baggies, so they knew. This would lead to Young H getting kicked out. Looking back at it, I was hard-headed. Pops showed me tough love. I guess, at the time, I deserved getting kicked out. During this tumultuous time in his life, Ron, his brother and some friends began taking rap more seriously than just freestyling for fun. He and his brother even formed a rap duo called the Young Gunnaz and recorded songs in the Bay Area; back then H-Ron recorded under the moniker G.A.M.E. (Getting All Money Everywhere). H-Ron, no longer living at home, was essentially homeless in California. Now was the time he had to really grind and hustle hard, living out of Motel 6s and various girlfriends houses, trying to at least get enough money for food, clothes and work. I hustled up enough on my own to where I was independent; at least I thought I was in my young mind-frame. Selling weed and pills just to pay motel fees and stay fresh and have enough money for a pistol was all I wanted at the time. But I knew there was more for me all my life. I felt I was greater than my surroundings and if I just stayed true to my g.a.m.e., every thing would fall into place. High School seemed too slow for Ron, so he dropped out, but eventually enrolled into college after completing his GED courses. But his true love of music is what keeps him driven for success. When he moved back home to Chicago, thats when he realized that music is the way to go. A lot of people, me included, get caught up in the street life here in Chicago. The jobs are not on the South and West sides where we are, so we are forced to make decisions that to outsiders make us look like we are all criminals, but thats not the case. We are just trying to eat. I dont advocate anything but survival. They dont give us jobs, so we have to make our own. With that entrepreneurial spirit firmly embedded within, he formed G.a.m.e.C.i.t.y. Records, which is acronym for H-Rons personal philosophy in life, Getting All Money Everywhere Constantly Improving the Youth. Not only is he a hustler to the utmost, but he also is a strong advocate for education and uplifting not only inner city Black youth, but all youth. The label is dedicated to finding and grooming talent into the stars they were born to be. Now, with all of his paperwork in order, G.a.m.e.C.i.t.y. Records led by Young H-Ron, is poised to lead not only Chicago, but the entire hip-hop nation into the land of milk and honey. According to the rapper also known as Ronnie Black in the streets of Chicago A lot of the people who are rappers these days are either faking what they are, who they are, and also putting out a lot of brainless garbage that is ruining our kids values and morals. Im letting the kids know, if you do decide to hustle, you also have to know what happens if you get caught. Me personally, I always had my lawyer fees and bail money in a separate shoebox. You have to tell these youngsters that it aint all glamour and glitz. There is a downside, and that there are other options. I did what I did, and it hurt calling my parents asking them to bail me out. There is a better way out here for us.www.GameCityRecords.com
