What to say beyond the fact that music is my life. From writing to singing to playing my piano & guitar to performing, I LOVE it all. A lot of singers talk about singing before they talked...never asked if that applied to me, but since my dad was the choir director when I was a boy, there's pictures of me as a 2 or 3 year old in the choir. I never stopped until the "uncomfortable" teen years, where most guys sing to impress girls. I was FAR too shy for that and most people at my high school (we moved after grade 10) never even knew I could sing. I didn't start singing again until my last year of high school which coincided with being in my first band. I haven't looked back since and will sing wherever and whenever.
Piano lessons started when I was young as well. It's been 20 years since those started and I'd like to think I have some decent skills....lol. Truth is, I hated piano lessons for the most part in the early years. I found them so boring learning strictly the criterium that was given to me. I wanted to play stuff that I heard on the radio but my teachers weren't for that. I evenually quit for a year. It took an interest in learning the guitar to get me back into the swing of things and from there I just took off. Got a new piano teacher (the incredibly talented Bart Nameth), and I never knew I could have so much fun playing the keys. Much of my success and skills are attributed to his teaching and leadership.
I'm a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan and have been suffering for longer than I can remember for them to win the Stanley Cup. I bleed the blue and white. Other sports teams that I cheer for are the Chicago Bears (NFL) and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL).
Other questions? I like meeting new people, so feel free to add me as a "friend". Oh, and please don't forget to venture over to www.myspace.com/trinityroad to check out my band. I truly appreciate the support and hope you like the music.
All the very best.
