The story of Aerial Fusion….
Once upon a time there was a man who went by the name of Mr Taylor. He had a vision to make many rocking bands and take over the world! He taught all his students how to play, sing and love. He then started RockSchool (which has been recently ripped off by Hollywood in the self titled film ‘Rockschool’- in which Jack Black does his take on Mr Taylor in a slightly different scenario with very little enthusiasm in comparison) in which a version of Aerial Fusion was formed.
Glen and Mike started the journey, with some misfiting musicians. They kicked out the drummer in 2002 and Mitch was put in the position (thanks Taylor). They continued playing the poor rockschool gigs in Nicholas Hawksmore Primary school hall, combined with the odd Rotary Club meeting for many years, until they decided it was time to break free.
The band started playing good music and were moving up in the world. We renamed ourselves Aerial Fusion (cheers to the ‘Broo King’ for that) and things were going from strength to strength. Unfortunately the bass player of the time ‘Waggy’ (you old Dog) did not have the commitment of the other boys and subsequently had to go. So he was dumped, which made way for Kat. The band started gigging quite alot in and about Northampton, and at some prestigious venues (Birmingham NEC & Barfly too name few), it was a good time.
The band realised they no longer needed rockschool, and left. For several months the band started gigging all the time and were really enjoying it. Unfortunately the bands vigorous gigging routine was coming to a halt. Relations between the band were not so good, and unfortunately Kat got the rough end of the deal and had to leave….
This next paragraph could be a book in its self. It’s about Michael Donovan (all those that know him will understand what I mean). We will name the paragraph Donovan.
Donovan.
The boy arrived after Kats departure, as a very close friend of Mitch and being well known to the band it was a natural move, and he is also so a good bassist (and sexy)! He joined in 2006 and in the few months he’s been with us we have moved from strength to strength due to Donovan’s sexiness and just general his Donovan’ness (new word).
