About Me

..
I am five feet tall, 106 pounds. I used to be a fat pie. I work, I dance (belly and swing, hopefully Tahitian soon), I sew, I lift weights, I spend time with the people I care about most. The elliptical machine used to rock my world but I have jacked up knees so now it's all about the treadmill. I love my parents and my family. I love my fiancee and psycho rockstar cat. The fabulous life you ALL ENVY, MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! I'm happy and silly but I can be crabby and sarcastic too. I have so much fun just by being my own ordinary self. I have a TV but it has no channels, and I like it that way- so please don't ask me my opinion about whatever was on last night, because I won't have any idea wtf you're talking about. I don't know how to cook anything but I'm really good at eating so it's ok. Well, maybe that's not true... I've been learning little things here and there because I feel I can't be a good wife without knowing how to make SOMETHING, so I know how to make scrambled eggs, pancakes, cookies, cornbread, and sausages. Just don't ask me to make dinner. I've never tried any drugs and don't care to start. But I do love me some Golden Spoon.

My Interests

I love dancing, period costumes, dance costumes and vintage clothing, backseamed stockings and garters, corsets, sequins and glass beads, cereal, stimulating conversations with intelligent friends, flared skirts with tiny waists, Hello Kitty, pin-up art, sustainable farming practices, Golden Spoon, Dita Von Teese, high heeled shoes, sewing, drawing when I have the urge, cats, SUSHI, organic produce, scrapbooking and rubber stamps, my awesome and hilarious family, and my sweet Monte, the love of my life fo sho.

I'd like to meet:

Other dancers, other people who have no idea what it's like to be drunk and don't care when people make fun of them about it, organic foodies, costumers, sewing folks and designers, happy people who respect their bodies and love to work out.

Music:

Glenn Miller, Amr Diab, Benny Goodman, Apoptygma Berserk, Louis Prima, RUSH, Frontline Assembly, HAREM, Switchblade Symphony, Tool, Hakim, Pantera, Rasputina, Harry Saroyan, Portishead... pretty eclectic. I really and truly cannot stand mainstream rap music and the idiotic culture that comes along with it. Make it go AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

Movies:

No scaries, unless I feel like staring at the ceiling all night. Lots of funny. Death to Smoochy and Toy Story are my favorites!

Television:

DIE

Books:

I love fashion history and photography books- I have some Olivia, "Everyday Fashions of the 1940's", a collection of Victorian era Harper's Bazaar illustrations, etc. Oh, and did I mention I have a SIGNED COPY of "Burlesque and the Art of the Teese"? HELL YEAH! Oh, you meant books to read? I loved Anna Karenina and To Kill a Mockingbird. My two favorites to this day. I just finished Madame Bovary, but before that I read Michael Pollan's "The Omnivore's Dilemma" and I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who can get their hands on it.

Heroes:

Yo mama
