Fola Dada was born in Stuttgart (Germany) in 1977. 7 years later she became a member of one of Germanys most renowned dance schools, the New York City Dance School. There she got her training in tap dance, jazz dance and through her participation in several show groups also in stage performance. Today she is one of the guest teachers for tap dance in the New York City Dance School.
Like many others she began her singing career in school, but went on the professional way immediately after graduation. In 2000 she began her studies in jazz and popular music (main subject: singing), at the Academy for Music in Mannheim and finished it very successfully in July 2004.
Even before her study she became a singer of several ensembles, like the HighnMighty Big Band, the comedy formation Les Schneiders, the newcomer band Solarstar, which debut album was released in fall 2004 and she is also the front singer of the band Beatclub21.
Further scopes of her work are the studio work with several producers(Edo Zanki, Walter Ercolino, Daniela Stickroth, Soulpatrol), the collaboration with Cassandra Steen (Glashaus), Jrg Reiter, Lillo Scrimalli (Max Herre, Fantastische 4, Joy Denalane), Arno Mller, Knigwerq, Bodo Schopf, Frank Kuruc, Eckehard Rssle, Obi Jenne, Marcus Rieck, Robert Landfermann, Benedikt Aperdannier, as well as singing background, amongst others for Joy Denalane, Ciaan, Lars Reichow, VERA, lauschleben and Katja Riemann.
In fall 2004 she had a role in Stuttgarts theatre production Frau tanzt. Choreography and direction Lior Lev (ballet Stuttgart).
As her latest project Fola will sing for Hellmut Hattler starting from Mai 2006.
Fola is mainly a jazz singer so her own projects, like the FOLA DADA TRIO and the duo STOLEN MOMENTS, with her partner Sarah Lipfert, are also to mention.
Additional to all that she is also teaching singing lessons, which include voice training, body work, breathing technique, interpretation, stage performance and of course singing.
Because of her excellent artistic and pedagogic education she works as an assistant professor for voice training in the Academy for Music in Mannheim, in the singing school GO VOCAL in Stuttgart and in the CAP Academy Stuttgart. She is also giving regularly several vocal coaching workshops and prepares students for auditions in performing arts studies.
Since December 2005 she acts as a vocal coach for the candidates of the 3rd season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar.
