Since the begining of human history there has only been one war... and that is the war over your mind! Forget about the crusades, the inqusition, WWI and WWII and soon to be WWIII, and I dare not to forget to mention the infamous "war on drugs." It all boils down to the domination over your consciousness. We are all being manipulated and we have been for thousands of years by the religious and the authorities.
Yes, I do think the pope is in on all of this... sorry Catie and all my catholic friends, religion has been deliberately engineered to contol the mass psyche. Beware of monotheism.
Today the mass media and pop culture has replaced the church. We might as well consider Hollywood to be the mecca of the current American culture. Most celebrities make me want to eat my own vomit, just so you know. I hate how most casual conversation today is centered around "so, did you watch Grey's Anatomy" or "omg, did you see American Idle last night?!?" No one seems to care what goes on in the world but God all mighty forbid they miss an episode of Desperate Housewives.
I feel that it is my duty to rescue my friends, family, and peers from losing themselves to apathy and materialism; which is what "they" want (whoever "they" are). This is why I do what I do and is why I am on myspace. Believe me, there is so much more to existance than most can imagine. There are entire universes within and without you. What lies beyond in the astral imagination is 100X10^12 times better than any TV show and better than what any religion claims to offer you.
Humanity is currently on a path of de-evolution. I think the next major key in evolution is the development of the individual mind. We were close to this with the birth of the U.S. of A but Americans have fallen so far away from the notion of individual freedom that I think our founding fathers would turn over in their grave if they knew what was going on today with 9/11 and the patriot act, Corperate Globalization and what not.
Think about if everyone woke up one day and realised that we are putting all of our political energies in the wrong places. What if everyone saw through all the lies and were able to connect with themeselves on a deeper level and realised that we are part of something big (I'm sorry if this sounds cheesey). ***has Imagine by John Lennon stuck in head***
"Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos, it has been the authorities — the political, the religious, the educational authorities — who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing — forming in our minds — their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable open-mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself.
Think for yourself and question authority.
Think for yourself and question authority.
Think for yourself and question authority..."
- Tim Leary
"I'm gonna share with you a vision that I had, cause I love you. And you feel it. You know all that money we spend on nuclear weapons and defense each year, trillions of dollars, correct? Instead -- just play with this -- if we spent that money feeding and clothing the poor of the world -- and it would pay for it many times over, not one human being excluded -- we can explore space together, both inner and outer, forever in peace." - Bill Hicks
Mauh hahahahahaha! Muahhhh hahahahahahahahha!!!!!!!

"I don't believe anything I write or say. I regard belief as a form of brain damage, the death of intelligence, the fracture of creativity, the atrophy of imagination. I have opinions but no Belief System (B.S.)â€

"The world is like a ride in an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time and they begin to question: "Is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey, don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride." And we kill those people."
- Bill Hicks
"Ego is a structure that is erected by a neurotic individual who is a member of a neurotic culture against the facts of the matter. And culture, which we put on like an overcoat, is the collectivized consensus about what sort of neurotic behaviors are acceptable."
