The Ultimate Gift in theaters now, Starring Abigail Breslin, James Garner, Brian Dennehy and Drew Fu

About Me

I had the extreme honor of adapting Jim Stovall's best selling novel, The Ultimate Gift, into the screenplay. Below are a few pictures from our red carpet premiere (March 7, 2007) in Charlotte, NC, where we shot the film in Nov. 2005. (There's a few pictures from the set thrown in there too.) Go see the film and support movies the whole family can enjoy. Fox Faith is distributing it.The Ultimate Gift movie trailer

Add to My Profile | More VideosThanks for visiting MySpace. I am a screenwriter in Los Angeles. I write scripts, book adaptations, books and kid's specials. I also work as a script supervisor. I love So Cal weather and chocolate. Yes, I have a terrible addiction to chocolate. I imagine I'm not the only one.I also enjoy hiking, rollerblading, scrapbooking, photography, movies, and going to church events/fellowship groups in LA. I have some pretty awesome friends here, who also love God. I have the best family ever, by the way.My friends call me a hard worker, writing maniac and prayer warrior. One of the many quotes I live by: Malcolm Muggeridge said: "Every happening, great and small, is a parable whereby God speaks to us. And the art of life is to get the message." So... are you getting God's message?I have a passion for hearing God's voice. I love when He speaks in a variety of ways, no matter what He has to say. I love God's intimacy with us, His desire to speak and commune with His kids. He teaches me so much everyday. Both good and hard lessons.

My Interests

Artistic Intoxication, Creativity. God's will, being smack in the middle of it, even if it's scary. Working with creative types.

I'd like to meet:

Jesus, Paul. King David. Daniel. Sarah. Then, of course, A.J. and her Dad. But as to Myspace: Friends only. I'm not here to meet strangers. So please don't write if you don't know me. Thanks.

Music:

Praise & Worship, MercyMe, Passion, David Crowder Band, 80's Music, Rascal Flatts, Lone Star, Avalon, U2, Coldplay, and when I'm really being rebellious, I like Def Leppard and Bad English. Am I the only one out here addicted to Launchcast? :) Besides "my station" on there, I often listen to the Launchcast Plus 80's Pop Station.

Movies:

The funniest movie ever made was National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. My fam watches it every Christmas Eve, and we quote it all year long. Other movies: Life as a House, October Sky, Titanic, Spitfire Grill, Mr. Holland's Opus, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Notebook, 10 Things I Hate About You, Toy Story, Good Will Hunting, Field of Dreams, Remember the Titans, Walk the Line, Moulin Rouge, Signs, World Trade Center, Little Miss Sunshine, and any movies God inspires me to write.

Television:

House, 24, Law & Order SVU, Close to Home, Alias, Monk, Without A Trace, and the late Joan of Arcadia and the long gone Higher Ground. Love the new show Jericho, and I've also been watching Shark, Standoff and Runaway.

Books:

The Bible, Dialogue With God (Virklers), Dream Interpretation (Riffel), Exploring the World of Dreams (Thomas), ANYTHING by John Eldredge (Sacred Romance, Journey of Desire, Wild at Heart, Captivating.....), Living Fearlessly (Sheila Walsh), Frank Peretti books, and Job Nightingale (Caroline Way). Kristin Billerbeck's chick-lit books (hilarious!) Oh, and any novels by James Brendlinger. :)

Heroes:

Jesus Christ my Savior. My Parents. My sister. My nephew Jake. Dr. Skipper... the great guy who did my dad's successful heart surgery. My friends and family who encourage me to follow my dreams. Diet Eman, for risking her life for God's Chosen People. Those who make it through fiery trials and still love God.

Invisibly Yours

Seems one of the themes I often explore in my screenplays is the issue of being known, or rather, what it's like to feel predominantly unknown by those who think they know us. I've hung out with peopl...
