Kemma

I walk the same Earth that Joe Strummer once did.

About Me

For starters, I work for the Department of Justice. I love to spend moments with my wife and family, cook, travel, listen to music, and watch great movies. I was born in Madrid, Spain and honor my heritage as American/Thai/Spaniard in no particular order. My loving family members from Puerto Rico also have played a huge part in who I have become so they must be recognized and loved dearly. What I truly enjoy is human interaction and socializing with friends and family when time permits (school/work). Meeting and encountering new people is always fun and one of the great joys of life since everyone has a unique story to tell.

My Interests

Manchester United, English Premiership football (best in the world), North Carolina Tar Heels basketball, cooking, and traveling.

Music:

I like avant-garde musicians, those who are not accepted by the normal masses because their sound pushes the edge, is usually dark, and has always been up against it. The concept of avant-garde refers exclusively to marginalized artists, writers, composers and thinkers whose work is not only opposed to mainstream commercial values, but often has an abrasive social or political edge. Outlaw country, downtempo, trip-hop, indie artists in hip-hop and rock, punk rock, garage rock, new wave, post punk, and some alternative (this particular genre has gone to shit of late.) These styles of music are what I embrace fully.
Artists such as: Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, The New Pornographers, Emiliana Torrini, Bjork, Regina Spektor, Zero 7, Metric, Emily Haines and The Soft Skeleton, Rilo Kiley, Jenny Lewis, Sonic Youth, Portishead, Sleater-Kinney, Beastie Boys, Atmosphere, Dwight Yoakam, Cat Power, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Love and Rockets, Fiona Apple, Miles Davis, Mos Def, David Bowie, Neko Case, Bouncing Souls, Radiohead, R.E.M., The Kills, Joy Division, Velvet Underground, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Pixies, Hole, Clash, Ramones, The Raveonettes, Iggy Pop and The Stooges, Sex Pistols, Public Image Ltd, Patti Smith, Elvis Costello, Public Enemy, Generation X, The Corrs, Santogold, The Cure, Against Me!, PJ Harvey, Rancid, Incubus, Bad Religion, Death Cab for Cutie, Queen, Hank Williams Sr, Jr, III, Interpol, Tegan and Sara, Astrud Gilberto

Nico = Proper Rock Mistress
