Shine the light! I'm a Christian and pray that you are or will be too. I love all types of music, except, oddly enough, Christian pop-music and, not so oddly enough, death metal. I love food, especially the gourmet kind. But I also enjoy a nice southern style supper every once in a while too. I also enjoy reading, writing and arithmetic. Actually, let's be honest here - nix the arithmetic part. But I am a nerd for science - especially the String Theory . And, I'm a wannabe shoe-fashionista, jazz superstar singer and hip-hop/go-go dancer in my part-time too. In other words, I'm a triple threat!

I'm also interested in learning all I can, and sharing all I can, about my family's ethnic heritage and the culture and customs of our varied backgrounds. I am Greek , Belgian and Black ; but you wouldn't believe how many people think I'm Latina! I was born and raised in Virginia , so, I'm also a southern belle too!

My Interests

music, dancing, food, cooking, popcorn, fine chocolate, fashion, hair products, creative development of all kinds, working out, ethnic festivals and parties

Music:

I like anything and everything that has a good beat to it. I love world music especially from Angola, Portugal, Meditteranean countries, and Latin America. I'm also a big vocal jazz fan too - I especially love it when DJ's mix jazz standards with smashin' hot beats. I love real (classic) hip hop, R & B, and soul as well. I'm also into electronic music like ambient, house, tribal, etc. There's not much I don't like, except that rock "music" where they scream like they're being scalped.

Movies:

Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, The Matrix, Shag, The Goonies, 9 to 5, The Interpreter, Mystic River, Pretty Woman, Unfaithful, Lord of War, Menace II Society, Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Hitch, Inside Man, A Bronx Tale, Brown Sugar, Soul Food (the series), ATL, Derailed, Walk the Line, Radio, Constantine, Closer, Monsieur Ibrahim, Dirty Pretty Things, Rabbit-Proof Fence, Antwone Fisher, so many to list!

Television:

I don't watch that much television, but, when I do, I'll watch anything on Bravo (love Project Runway and Top Chef), anything on E, anything on TLC, anything on PBS (but particularly the African-American Lives series and the Elegant Universe series - of course I'm a nerd!), Top Model, and I'm still secretly addicted to certain teeny-bopper shows on MTV.
