Molly

Dag. My name is Molly, otherwise known as M.Dawg. I hale from the Halloween Capitol of the World, located within the Land O' Lakes and not too far from Lake Wobegon. My intervening home have been Mt. Vernon,IA then Iowa City, IA, then the glorious city of Portland, OR. (Hail to thee oh Oregon.) I exist in the purgatory between law student and lawyer, as I have my law degree but "have not yet passed the bar exam" (It sounds so much better than "failed," doesn't it?) I take the exam again on February 27 and 28. My former plan for life post exam failure (for the exam back in July) was to flee to the Canadian tundra to live in a yurt and make little half-Native Canadian babies. I wimped out and, after failing July '06 chose instead to flee to St. Paul, Minnesota. Here, I shall actually study for, complete, and pass the Minnesota bar exam. Third time's the charm. I am no longer employed by the Oregon Department of Justice helping the old State of Oregon to terminate the parental rights of meth heads and sex offenders. Instead, I currently sling beans for Starbucks (West 7th St. in St. Paul). What? I'm not ashamed! (And it's only temporary.) Making just over minimum wage bites.I have a dog named Huckleberry Finn. He is a year and a half old. A border collie. A crazed destructo-dog but oh _ such a cuddler. When he jumps on you -- which he will -- please face your back to him and ignore him.I have a sandwich named after me called the Molly C. Hicken. Really. You know someone famous.I make rice and lentil pilaf with toasted cumin seeds.
