About Me
Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in the Bronx, New York; Chary Ary knew from a young age that he was destined to be an entertainer. His father was a member of La Nueva Fuerza (a popular merengue band) and his mother was a well acclaimed singer in her own right. Music was in Chary Ary's blood since birth.
Growing up in one of the most dangerous areas of the Bronx, New York; Chary's life was influenced by the street element. He networked with hustlers, stick up kids, thugs, etc. and built a solid reputation as he grew older. These experiences created an honest and genuine touch to his charismatic hood swagger which combined with his love for music was the perfect recipe for one of the hardest Hispanic lyricists to grace the genre.
In the early stages of his career, Chary Ary worked day and night with someone who he considered to be a brother to him; P.L.F. Chary and P.L.F. motivated each other and grinded hard creating music and making a name for themselves. Their musical accomplishments didn't go unnoticed as Sheek Louch (from the legendary rap group: the Lox) put the team of Chary Ary and P.L.F. under his wing. It took no time before Chary Ary and P.L.F.'s network began to grow as they acquired shows and performed on a national level. But, in 2006, the team was split as P.L.F. was incarcerated; thus leaving Chary Ary on his own to make music.
Becoming a hype man for the Lox, Chary Ary was personally invited to tour as a representative of D Block. This tour included live performances in the Pepsi Arena (Albany, NY) and Madison Square Garden (New York City, NY). Participating in these shows on a grand scale convinced Chary Ary that he would dedicate his life to making his music career successful. Soon after the tour, D Block formally signed paperwork officially stating Chary Ary as the premiere artist for the new branch of their record label: D BLOCK LATINO.
Since the signing, Chary has performed at internationally acclaimed events such as the 2006 La Kalle sponsored “Valentine Bashâ€; where many known acts in the reggaeton genre, including Zion, Rakim y Ken-Y and LDA headlined. Chary has also headed south, invited to perform on the prestigious Hennessy stage at the 2006 Calle Ocho festival in Miami, FL which boasts a crowd of over 250,000 people. On the west coast, Chary Ary traveled with the creators of “The Chosen Fewâ€; producer Boy Wonder and his prodigy LDA and visited Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles for the Chosen Few album release party.
In 2007, Chary Ary made a cameo appearance in Style P’s new video for his single “Blow My Mind†(also featuring Swizz Beatz), Beanie Sigel and Styles P's video "Yah ain't ready for me". Chary will also appear in D-Block’s upcoming compilation album, Sheek Louch's "The Howling" and has a mixtape of his own in the works named “Voz de la Kalle†which will be hosted by DJ Sincero and Big Mike. These projects have him working side by side with known talent in the industry such as Boy Wonder, Fuego, Baby Psycho of LDA, Big Mato, Stef la Kallejera; and not to mention the world reknowned members of D Block: Jadakiss, Styles P, and Sheek Louch.
Chary Ary is making a splash in the industry and now it’s up to you to make sure you catch the wave
