Jon McLurg is a songwriter from Latimer Ontario, a farming community north of Kingston Ontario.
Jon McLurg started writing songs while attending Trent University in 2002. He has now written over one hundred songs and is planning to record an album this fall.
Jon played at the Mariposa folk festival in '05 with a trio of which he is a member called "Crooked Wood". That was a very enjoyable experience because they got to share the bill with Gordon Lightfoot, Murry McLachlan, Sarah Harmer, Tom Cochrane, Fred Eaglesmith, and The Arrogant Worms.
