About Me

Waiger are the type of band that possess the ability to smash their way through the ‘scene’ without hesitation, but then carefully piece it back together in the aftermath of what is ‘Waiger’. It would be an artistic explosion at that. They are loud; they are fierce yet in an instant can become soft and understated. However, wherever they take the audience feels justified. You are ushered to the edge of a cliff by their rock tunes such as ‘Stand Aside’ and then cast yourself over the top in admiration of the epic form (‘All The Mistakes’) yet land in a beautifully placed flower, breaking your fall (‘Reaching Out’). Add to this the fact that the quartet comes from England’s musical epicentre, Manchester and we have a winner.Their talent has not gone wholly unnoticed, they have mulled over several offers and it is testament to their realism that they await the right deal. Waiger are determined to make, but on their terms-this self confidence is an endearing and essential quality in all great bands-they could be the next. They have travelled the country headlining and exuding their confidence and passion and receive due deference wherever they play. They have not looked out of place when performing with signed acts (The Editors, Oceansize, The Suffrajets, Bonehead-of ex oasis fame). On many occasions their charisma overshadows these more sizeable acts. The band is naturally gifted to a man, yet what sets them apart from their contemporaries is their industry. They put in the hours to do justice to the music which they so passionately believe in. Everything the band release is entirely self-produced. No studios, no producer and no assistance. Everything you hear is produced, mixed, mastered and recorded by Waiger. The band also believe that every sound they produce on a record should be done live, and so it is, making Waiger a live act not to missed. The fusion of hard work, enthusiasm and flair will hopefully pay off and put Waiger where they belong.
