Running, biking, swimming. Girls on roadbikes (from both ahead and behind). Music. People watching. Tom Wolfe. Anything having to do with books; I love Barnes & Noble, used book stores, and public libraries - in that order. Writing. CURRENT expatriate. Books, words, sentences, and how they all fit together. Dreams, waking and not.

I'd like to meet:

Those people who don't need drugs to have fun. People who like cities and outdoor sports. There is a parable, or a case study, or something of that ilk that goes: Two children were brought into a room full of shit. The first child was disgusted and whined to be taken away immediately. That child is the pessimist. The second child was taken into the same room full of shit and got excited. When those around him asked what he was so excited about he said, "There's a pony in here!" That child is an optimist. I want to find optimists who know how to find wonder and enjoyment out of every experience, even the little ones. Especially the little ones.
