Eddie Garza aka Eddie Riot is an electronic music artist and native of Chicago's Southside. Aptly named, he has terrorized the decks with his riot dj style for 13 years. From 1997 to 2003 he hosted a popular underground radio show at IIT's Radio Station WOUI/WIIT, giving him further insight into the electronic dance world. He constantly fine tunes his craft to define a signature sound that can only be described as "electronic madness". From this self-described "madness" manifested his dark style of techno, new wave, and industrial influenced productions. In 2006, continuing his agenda of insanity under the pseudonym The Riot, he set out to work on his own productions thus affording him the opportunity to work with some of Chicago's most seasoned electronic artist. In 2007 he teamed up with Frank Delamora of Echo 9 for their Speakerkillaz remix project, inspiring original production releases to come in 2008. As an artist, he seeks inspiration from other music forms and political era's fostering his manic sound scapes. Yet, being a misfit in Chicago, he defiantly denounces the contrived notion of genres and pushes himself to explore the boundaries of electronic music and arts. As a popular fixture on the local party scene, he continues to play the best parties and club nights in the city. Well on his way to greatness, The Riot recently joined the Friendselectric roster of highly esteemed social misfits throughout the world.
