KNR - A song-writing partnership between Kel Taylor & Rob Powers covering all genres, but predominently guitar based Rock, Blues & RnB tracks with underlying Funk giving KNR their distinctive sound.
Although we have known each other for years, we'd never got together musically until we threw ourselves into the Rainbow Sky project. Its turned out to be an interesting mix, with Rock meeting Funk, kind of Santana/Clapton meets Level 42, not easily imaginable but thats where our muzic together started.
During the creation of the Rainbow Sky charity EP, (produced by Rob Derbyshire - full flava , who's worked with the likes of Lulu, Chaka Khan, Beverley Knight, Edwin Starr) a labour of love in memory of Deborah Taylor (Kel's wife, Rob's cousin) & Stephanie White (Rob's sister), for a great cause in Cancer Research UK. The finding of a songwriting chemistry between us meant we had to write more tracks, culminating in our websites and this myspace profile.
