About Me

FIRST AND UTMOST IMPORTANT, MY REAL NAME IS NOT LITTLE LEOTA. IT'S JUST THAT I LOVE DISNEY AND THE HAUNTED MANSION SO MUCH THAT I BORROWED ONE OF THEIR CHARACTERS. THIS IS JUST SO SOME OF YOU ARE AWARE THAT I AM NOT TRULY A GHOST, SO PLEASE QUIT ASKING. SORRY TO DISAPPOINT YOU. BOOOOOOOO!!!!! (did I scare ya?)
I am a collector of various things such as, teddy bears, Nightmare Before Christmas items, Disney merchandise and the San Jose Sharks memorabilia. I collected so much that I decided it might be a good business so I got busy and contacted the right people to help me get started. Now I run a small business online to keep me busy through my retirement. I am happily living in Texas via California with my husband and loving it (except for the humidity) whew! In my mind's eye this is how I think God intended it to be, wide open fields, beautiful skies (most of the time), horses, cattle, brahmas, friendly people, white fences surrounding the acreage, people helping people. LOVING IT BUNCHES!! Don't get me wrong, I still absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE California! I was born and raised in Northern/Central Cal. When I retired we wanted a place that we could just kick back and not worry about conjestion, angry people, and Texas seemed to fit the bill.
I LOVE Disneyland, Nightmare Before Christmas Collectibles, Monster Garage, Hockey, Music of most genres, my husband, family and friends. I am straight talking most of the time to the point of rambling on and on and on and on and on and on about the same stuff just to be sure you understood what I was trying to say. ;-) My husband just says I am "PASSIONATE" about how I feel or think about things. I think he wants to say I might be a bit obsessive about it but he's good about not saying too much so he won't hurt my feelings ;-). Hmmm..... Am I rambling?? I think so! ha-ha
Oh and one more thing, don't look for anything insightful or that makes any enlightening sense with this page. It is a mix-match of whatever I wanted to do at the time and not really meant to make sense.
About me?? Well, I love Disneyland, The Haunted Mansion, Nightmare Before Christmas, Gordon Ramsey (Hell's Kitchen), San Jose Sharks Hockey, Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney (Johnny Depp), movies, working out and slot machines (playing them not collecting them), Music of all types cuz it makes my heart go PITTER PATTER *wink* *wink* , and collectibles. I collected so much DISNEY merchandise and TEDDY BEARS over the years that I now work with an internet store that sells collectibles for pop-culture items and toys. It's less expensive that way ;-).

My Interests

My second Texas Snowman March 6, 2008 (my 1st is at the top of my page)

We love the simple things in life. We take walks at a great walking trail we found once we moved to Texas. I have posted pictures of just some of the area and will be adding more as the weather gets nicer and things start to bloom. The cattle are beginning to have their calves and we even got a picture of one mother, papa and new calf right after it was delivered. We are semi-retired and I help my husband in a small internet business that we run to keep busy and not drive each other CRAZY! Life is good and we actually love living here after so many years in California. I love California and always will, but this is great; too especially for retirement. I guess it's what some say, You can make your own happiness or make your own misery. I prefer the happiness.

I recently found these pictures below in one of my albums from Disneyland taken long ago (over 30 years ago actually). America On Parade was a temporary replacement for Disneyland's and the Magic Kingdom's The Main Street Electrical Parade ("MSEP") for the United States Bicentennial. This Bicentennial parade ran from June 6, 1975-September 6 and like the Main Street Electrical Parade it was also created under the direction of Disneyland's Director of Entertainment, Bob Jani. The first run was in the summer of 1975 and was originally designed to run through 1977, to commemorate the United States Bicentennial. Where the MSEP ran twice nightly, AOP ran once during the afternoon and again just prior to the nightly fireworks display. It traveled the full length of Disneyland from "it's a small world" to Town Square at the beginning of Main Street, U.S.A..

Now for the story of the forgotten daughter of Madame Leota...

Died: November 1 1942
Hauntâ€™s History (Outline of life circumstances and place of death must contain good reason for being a ghost.)
Little Leota was Madame Leotaâ€™s daughter and the first child born in the Mansion. Madame Leota never revealed the fatherâ€™s name but itâ€™s interesting to note that whenever Little Leota spoke Master Gracey always fell silent.
At a tender age Little Leota began helping her mother in the seance circle. She soon developed her own talents as a spirit medium. Always playful she teased or flirted with the seance guests. Many believed that if they failed to heed her taunting call to "Hurry Back" her little joke about a death certificate would come to pass.
Fascinated with death Little Leota was instrumental in getting the townspeople to hold funerals in the Mansionâ€™s conservatory. However she was a practical joker nailing the coffin shut before the viewing or replacing the flowers with dead ones. Her favorite trick was to lock all the guest room doors in the middle of the night and then run down the corridor knocking on them.
Little Leota was given to long and lonely wanderings especially at night. She could be seen carrying a single candle from window to window or endlessly walking the hallways candelabra in hand. She loved to stand on the porch and feel the wind in her face.
Quite the tart Little Leota had affairs with every man that struck her fancy. The only men who resisted her charms were the Mansionâ€™s handyman gardener and liveryman who feared for their jobs should they become involved with her. Incensed at being snubbed Little Leota plotted against the trio sending them on a wild goose chase one night. They perished in quicksand as she watched from a tree. The branch broke and she fell in the river and drowned. When her body was recovered it had shriveled to the size of a doll.

One person I wished I had met and one of my FAVORITE CLOWNS is...RED SKELTON. WHEN YOU HAVE A MOMENT CLICK ON HIS PICTURE (below) AND LEARN WHAT THIS MAN KNEW BACK IN 1969 THAT IS A SHAME TO HAVE HAPPENED.

I miss these news reporters: heh! Seriously they are news folk just having a GoodDay *wink* I would watch from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. every morning but alas we moved and I no longer see them except when I get their newsmail. :-(

Our man Johnny Depp in Drag (Before Night Falls).. He was once asked if there was a character he might like to play and hadn't had the chance yet and he said A WOMAN, MAYBE". Gotta admire any man that is not afraid to stick to what he feels. At least I do :-)

In October 2000 Little Leota was invited to sing along with the other Disneyland Divas at their own special event.

Some of my favorite shows are: CSI (all), Project Runway, Cash In The Attic, Bargain Hunter, Grey's Anatomy, House, David Letterman, Ghost Whisperer, Medium, NCIS, Hockey, Criminal Minds, Numb3rs, My Wife and Kids, HELL's Kitchen, Ramsey's Nightmares, Ramsey's The F Word, Bones, just to name a few. ;-) Sometimes I listen more than watch. Use the TV a lot for background noise.
