Aside from starring in my one man Journey cover band???Nothing. I have devoted my life to spreading the gospel of Steve Perry.Although when I'm not in a trancelike state trying to meditate on the aforementioned Mr. Perry I do find time for other things: I eat, drink and sleep politics it's intriguing and important, and now, driving around the country for a living I get to see the issues in action, which makes it all the more interesting. I love the outdoors, hiking, biking, camping feeding wild grizzly bears, which is nice b/c a major facet of my job involves pretty much every major national park. When the snows come I'm back on the mountains with a different mode of transport...skiis. Roadtrips are my job, I still can't believe I get paid to roadtrip professionally, if I told myself ten years ago what I'm doing now that boy woulda been proud. It's not a career, but it's a fabulous life with new surprises every day. I played county league baseball...missing that a bit.(Duck Dynasty) Penn State and Philly sports are a staple of my daily diet. And overall just trying to find new ways to have a good time.
People who don't suck!
Need you ask??...but really: Pearl Jam, Flaming Lips, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Goldfinger, Jawbreaker, Social D, Coldplay... a lot of stuff from all over the place from punk, to indie to deliberately mainstream. I'd say I probably spend 90% of my time everyday listening to music, you have to when you're on the road 5-6 hours a day. My new game is associating artists with hometowns and digging up songs about cities, it makes the trip much more fun. What did one indie kid say to the other? ...YOU DONT KNOW!!!
My movies--and I don't mean that in a gabe pardo freaky way either.Aside from the movies that I make: The Big Labowski, Major League, Office Space, The Usual Suspects, Star Wars, V for Vendetta, Garden State, Ferris Bueller's Day Off,
Tops on the list--Arrested Development and the Office. I don't get to watch TV too much, so I'm pretty reliant on YouTube and other webcasts to keep up. But in all honesty I havn't watched more than an hour of TV at once since like Feb. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy TV--but it just doesn't fit into the schedule.
I try to read a book a week, it does the mind well. Just finished Washington D.C. by Gore Vidal and Guns Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond. Next on the docket...something about the French and Indian War (Wow, do I ever sound like a loser!)
Wolverine, Aaron Burr, Paul Wellstone, Eddie Vedder, Oscar the Grouch and Michael Scott...
