My Interests

Movies, music, long walks, going to gigs, writing, reading, travelling, and spending time with family and friends and that special someone. I'm also open to new things but if I don't like it, don't get insulted.

I'd like to meet:

I know who I click with right away. If you don't have an open mind and a wicked sense of humor, keep walking. I'm sensitive but I have no problem when jokes are all in good fun. I am passionate and I like people who are as well. I can't deal with the cold types who are embarrassed to show their emotions for the fear of appearing weak. We are humans, not robots. I like fun people who are into the same things I am...well at least some of the things I'm into. I'm always ready to broaden my horizons so surprise me. I like that! I don't want to meet people who are controlling, manipulative, greedy, inconsiderate, irresponsible, selfish, narrow-minded, and racist. I can forgive those who make mistakes but only the ones who own up to it. No one is perfect. People who lie to the ones they supposedly care about and back it up with lame reasons why totally suck. People who take advantage of others for their own selfish needs (that includes PLAYERS) are losers in my eyes. People who are very full of themselves are sad. Humility is sexy!! People who would rather hold a grudge than talk it out are ignorant. Wars are started that way. Let's keep the peace. And speaking of wars, I tend to steer clear of overly religious people who like to spread the Gospel. I have a lot of issues with structured religion, even my own. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. That's all you really need to follow. I'm spiritual (I was raised Catholic) but I have yet to meet a devout religious person who actually practices what they preach. Mind ou this message is only for the overly religious types. If you're not and you want to be a freak and strut your sh*t, by all means go for it. It's all good. But if religion is really important to you and you follow the Book, I respect that. Just don't preach to me and we'll be cool. But remember just because you follow the Bible, it doesn't mean you're better than me. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

Music:

I'm into rock (all kinds), punk, pop, R&B, techno, fusion, freestyle, Motown, hip-hop and rap, salsa and merengue. I have a real hard-on for The Vines and Gorillaz. I'm not into easy listening stuff. I'll go down that road when I'm 90...or not.

Movies:

I enjoy comedies, action flicks, dramas...everything. I also like obscure, independent films, adult animation festivals and the classics. I recently saw Borat. I never laughed so hard in my life! An occasional B-movie is okay for a laugh. Anyone remember Mystery Science Theater 3000? My friends and I have done that in movie theaters when the film is a bomb. It's hilarious!!

Television:

Books:

I love to read so if you know of any good books, please feel free to recommend. I also like reading the Bible...NOT!!! ;) And why do men all say they've read The Da Vinci Code? Is that supposed to impress me? Is that another way of saying "I'm smart! Not like everybody says...like dumb...I'm smart and I want respect!" Did anyone get that? If not, go see The Godfather. :p
