Someone said, Play bass, Ken, and I took it to heart!

About Me

What can I say? I'm a bassist, plain and simple. Well, maybe not simple. The more progressive the better for me, but I don't mind just laying down a thick, heavy groove most of the time. After all, isn't that what a bassist should do? Even though I dabble with other instruments the bass is what I focus most of my time and attention to playing. As you can tell from my name I'm a huge fan of Spector Basses and for good reason. They are the finest bass guitars in the world! Prior to having my artist's page placed on the Spector Bass website I had a rack of Spector Euro series five and six string basses on stage with me. When PJ Rubal, Stuart Spector's right-hand man there, told me they were placing me on their Artists page you can't imagine how excited I was. That's why every tour I'm on or every gig you see me play you'll find one of my Spector basses in hand with at least another behind me. If I sound like a commercial it's because they deserve it. I know a great bass when I hear or play one and Spector basses have it all. After years of touring I came back to Jacksonville, Florida where I grew up and embedded myself in the local music scene here. I have since recorded albums with Dobe Records artists 6-2-9 and Beta Records artists November and currently play for my own band called THE RIDE . THE RIDE is truly the best band I have ever had the honor of playing with and each member of our band is just incredible to work with. Not to mention the talent level of these guys. You really need to check us out and hear what we do! I've also have the pleasure of filling in for some great, local bands like The Paul Lundgren Band , Lisa and the Mad Hatters and so many more. In addition to performing I have also been working on the production side of the industry helping the IATSE Local 115 as an audio engineer and stagehand for large concerts and events in and around North Florida. My main focus, though, is kicking out the jams with our band, THE RIDE . It's so much fun to play the great venues that have us back time after time to play some fun music, which includes a lot of our own, original work. Ask any of my friends who know me and they'll tell you I'm a charged ball of energy. They don't know if I'll ever be able to slow it all down and relax for a change ;-)
