I am a certifiable music nut! I drive 50 miles--one-way--in the middle of the night, to do a radio show on Lincoln, Nebraska's, KZUM, 89.3 FM-Powered by the Community.
I am a volunteer programmer, engineer, producer, and program host for "Dr. Rock & the Medicine Show," on KZUM. That's right, I don't get paid a penny to do this show. In fact, I pay an annual, public radio membership fee.
Of course, this affords me the opportunity to play virtually anything I want for my entire, six-hour show! This is not something your commercial stations generally allow their on-air personalities to do. Announcers rarely get to actually choose the music they play, but I do!

Are you in a band? Do you know someone who is in a band? If there is music available that is radio friendly, let me know. I play lots of unsigned, local, independent artists on the live show, and the Live365 station (see below), and will do so in the video show (see further below) as well. The only criteria is that it be family friendly and that I like it. As long as it is, and I do, I'll try to play it! I play almost anything by almost anyone!

Currently, I'm working on development of a music video program. Initially, it'll be available on www.medicineshowcommunications.com . Eventually, it may appear on MySpace, and I'm interested in getting it on television, as well.
