We are a group of Halloween enthusiasts who meet monthly to share Halloween prop-building knowledge and ideas. Our meetings are hands-on workshops to build props, animatronics and other Halloween haunt related items. Each month a member will volunteer to host the meeting at their house/location and another member will volunteer to teach the 'make-n-take'. The member teaching will usually arrange to obtain the materials. Members use our private list to RSVP their intent to attend the meeting so the correct amount of supplies will be purchased. Sometimes money is collected at the meeting, sometimes in advance. The list is also used for meeting locations, times and for volunteering food, beverages, etc. for the meeting. A meeting usually lasts from 4- 5 hours depending on the prop being made. We don't require that you attend every meeting to be a member but participation is encouraged.
CalHauntS is located in California. We have both a Northern California and Southern California chapter! If you are interested in membership, please send me a message.
To be a member, you must be interested in attending the meetings to build halloween props. While we don't require attendance at every meeting, we do not accept members who are not in our area or who only want to chat about halloween. Our group is meeting oriented. All skill levels are welcome.
This myspace site is for friends, vendors and members of CalHauntS both the NorCal Chapter and the SoCal chapter. You do not have to be a member to be on our friends' list. We are a non-profit group and we are pleased to accept discounts from vendors in order to purchase our products/materials from them and to publicly thank them, both on this myspace list as well as on our website. If you are a vendor who has befriended us in the past, please send me your banner and I will post it. We appreciate everyone who has made CalHauntS a success.
