About Me

Lemme see. Name's George, I'm 26, I'm... *looks down to verify*... ah yes. Male. You're getting most of this info from the other sections, though, so let's get right into the quintessence of perfection that is me. Yes people, bask in my glow. Bask, I say.Gay guy here who likes cartoons, video games, sci-fi/fantasy stuff, roleplaying, bowling... wait. There's a whole bunch of interests sections below. Gah! So what's left to talk about?Well, some would consider me a 'furry'. If you know what that is and the knowledge didn't come from a MTV show or trolls on the net, cool. Yes, furries are often quite weird, and a few segments of the fandom are downright disturbing. But that ain't all of us. I've definitely got a furry interest even if I don't identify with all aspects of the lumped-in community.I tend to be a bit philosophical, a bit political. Most folks would classify me as a really sweet guy... but I suppose I've developed a bit of a biting edge as well... usually comes across in sarcasm among my closer friends. They usually know that I love em and mean well, even if I have become a master of the backhanded compliment.I work for a company called CMHA, which does mental health. I like my coworkers and the clients I work with... and pretty much hate the actual company since it thinks raises are the things grapes turn into when dried out and evaluations are supposed to be the same for every employee regardless of merit. ... Did I mention that I'm a bit cynical? Comes from being observant, I suppose. There's good news from that. I'm heading back to college this fall, 2006. Going for my Marriage and Family Therapy degree... because whether your family loves you or not you're going to have some problems to sort out... there'll never be a shortage of that.I'm pretty open, so if you're wondering anything, feel free to ask.

My Interests

Bowling, Cartoons, Fantasy, Furry, Politics, Psychology, Roleplaying, Video Games,

I'd like to meet:

Friends to start is more than cool. If you're looking for more and we connect right, even better.

Music:

I like a variety. Here are some of my fave artists: Bernadette Peters, Mama Cass Elliot, Madonna, No Doubt, Ace of Base, Third Eye Blind, Green Day, They Might Be Giants, Carrie Underwood. Other fave music ranges from classical to soundtracks and are harder to list by artist. I like every genre of music save for rap, and admittedly I'm not too warm on hip-hop. Otherwise, if it exists, I like it. Classical, opera, country, techno.

Movies:

Easiest to just list my top 10. 1. Ever After 2. Contact 3. Neverending Story 4. Aladdin 5. Who Framed Roger Rabbit? 6. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure 7. Philadelphia 8. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King 9. Spirited Away 10. Chronicles of Narnia: Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe

Television:

Cartoons: TaleSpin, TMNT 2003, Gargoyles, Family Guy, South Park, Drawn Together, Thundercats, Taz-mania, Simpsons, Boondocks, Fruits Basket, Naruto, Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh. Sitcoms: Roseanne, Seinfeld, Married With Children, Everybody Loves Raymond, Cosby Show, Frasier. Game Shows: Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Deal or No Deal, Weakest Link (finished), Press Your Luck (finished), Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (finished), Win Ben Stein's Money (finished).

Books:

Book series I like: Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind, Apprentice Adept by Piers Anthony, Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. Save for Harry Potter the book series that I like all have a pattern. I love them in the beginning and by the end the authors just weaken in their material. Even Rowling did that a bit in Order of the Phoenix. General genre that I like is sci-fi/fantasy.

Heroes:

Wow, what a great section. John McCain used to be but he's fallen down a few notches. If we're counting among the fictional, I'm fond of Master Splinter. If we're counting among the historical, Ben Franklin or Thomas Paine. And corny though it may be... my dad.
