Sunju Hargun

Sunju Mike Hargun (a.k.a DJ Hargun) Was always inspired by the sound of music ever since he was at a young age, being grown up in a musical envoirment sunju’s dad was a top guitar player in Bangkok and had a big name in many decent bars in Bangkok, Thailand (Hometown). A few years later his dad opened up a music shop called “Music-tech” which then open up the eyes and ears to what music was all about and became more interested in it that he started to learn how to play the drums & Soon enough after a couple of months he got up to jam with his dad in the biggest events and bars and he had also worked in the shop after school listening to cd in different kinds of genres. At the age of 14 he formed his own band, which lead him to play in the Singha beer young rock concert, which made a big impact for his group.Couple of years later he realized that there was more to just beating drums and cymbals which he then was introduced to a new style of genre by his brother called “Electronica” and felt that he wanted to learn about this music so by doing that he purchased over 20 cds every other week of different dj’s round the globe which includes Paul van dyk, Humate, Sasha, Sven Vath, Tiesto, Ferry corsten, Atb and many more…and became a music freak for electronica ever since. Listening to different styles of electronic music made a big difference cause he was able to understand how every style is similar but in a very different and creative way.in 2002 in where he had released his first demo mixed cd and handed out to clubs in Shanghai City, China which was accepted with good comments and got into group called Ascension DJS which was featured 5 djs from different parts of the worlds also includes his Best friends Felix Tom, Synrg and Emono, and slowly with this group it had builded up to getting a residence night on Thursdays in Club Guandii. Sunju knew from there that there was a lot of different ways to deal with crowd and to hold up a dancefloor and no matter how empty it was his main aim was to get it filled back. Ascension made a hit in shanghai for trance music and slowly was caught by a lot of party-goers attention that the group was all over the city and not only shanghai city but the group also travelled out performing to the east.After the group had split up Sanju was featured as the party DJ in town in Hangzhou for 2 weeks Playing for clubs like L.A Disco, S.O.S and Club 0.38. And then made a return to shanghai and was in various parties in Clubs like DKD, Tanghui, Club 1, Dragon, J Lounge Club. Despite having a amazing chance to play at all these clubs he made his biggest impact at the Dino Beach rave in August 2004 held by the organizers of club DKD where he blasted a 2 hr set with a crowd of 150, and 2nd was at the Official After party Of DJ Sasha from UK (World no. 3 dj) in Club guandii holding a crowd of 70 people.Shanghai was left behind and he was back in Philippines that it was then he teamed up with his brother in Bangkok and Co-founded his own group Called “Digital Circus” which as of this year he is holding 2 djs in Bangkok, 1 in manila, and 3 in shanghai and 1 dj in hongkong which all play in different styles as his belif was that electronic music is all the same it is just categorized under different kind of genres and The circus was a name to catch all these styles and put it into one. Giving a chance to bedroom djs to come out in the open Sunju was able to arrange gigs for them no matter where he was but he did it because he was given the same chance one day. And luck was his style pouring out in the city he was able to get various amount of events to play at which included the big event of cream amnesia featuring DJ Tall Paul. Other events like the Honda Motor cross dance event was also a major hit for sunju as he was then introduced to various promotion parties and finally was able to get digital circus in the open.The group continued and a couples of years later sanju was back in his homeland and was a made his residency in a well known club Called “EZZE” with his pounding styles of Progression he has left his mark in the club calling it to be the Home of Digital circus DJ’S. Soon enough got his group djs down one by one to be featured in that club.His style and progression which he defines more to Trance yet progressive with house elements and a little of Tech mixed into it and not to forget with his heart and soul in it.Myspace Layout Stealer myspace codes
