Jason began his infatuation with music when he was a young tyke going through his parent’s eclectic record collection. He was grounded in the hippie sounds of Renaissance, Joy of Cooking, Toni Brown, Iron Butterfly and of course the fundamentals: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Hendrix, and Zimmerman. Maybe Mr. Jones was the Walrus.Jason grew up on a small organic farm in the Michigan country side blaring music to highest volume possible-eleven. He learned a lot about agriculture and decided to not apply any of it and move to Los Angeles in the early 1990’s after graduating with a practical major in philosophy.Jason fell in love with wisdom while an undergraduate student under the tutelage of the Philosophy Department’s Chairperson, Art Jentz and visiting theology student, Tinyiko "Sam" Maluleke. Tinyiko is a prominent professor at the University of South Africa. Jason focused his studies on philosophy of religion, world religion and existentialism.Jason has played guitar for a long time and has written numerous songs with a childhood friend and individually (to listen to an original composition go to his Blog).
