About me, I'm a fuckin dork. I'm about making HISTORY and with the projects I have in the oven now, it's only a matter of how long do I take to prepare or cook these recepies before unleashing this great tasting, appetite quenching, (in other words, a hell of a dish) on the masses.I own a company called Skylatics. I came to choose this name, well, I can't lie, it was given to me by a friend back in the day for a album name. Since then I kept it and I knew the name was so fresh that it would one day be used in my arsenal. (who knew it would be the complete backdrop to my story). At any rate, it's a combination of the words Scholars and Politics.See the way I see it is, we're all Scholars in our own right, whether it be we trying to conquer the art of hustling, be a bettter parent/companion, master the art of WHATEVER, naturally, you want to excel and learn more. Ultimately pitting yourself amongst the class which considers themselves masters of their field. At the same time the Political aspect comes into play everyday you wake. Hell, even when you're sleep, it all plays a political role in development. From how you speak, to what you wear, from the type of music you enjoy listening to, to the type of job you have. Politics play a role in our everyday lives, hence the name Skylatics.I created this company strictly for Independent Artist(s). I'm a indie artist and where I live, these smart/dumb fucks aren't giving artist(s) like us a chance in hell to be seen or heard. Technology today has made for aspiring artist(s) with REAL TALENT to be put on the mainstage for the world to critique. Web-sites, DVD's, Mix-tapes, Camcorders, etc.. are accessible tools these days that ten years ago would have been a long shot to come into contact with. Now with this type of knowledge being put at our fingertips for us to tweak and master it is becoming more common for the next NUCCA to be right around the corner then on the other side of the U.S.Under the Flagship company, Skylatics, I've created 3 credible projects for aspiring artist(s) to contribute to. 1. Skylatics, the video show: This is the visual portion of the movement. This is the interactive video show showcasing indie artist(s) from the SouthEast. One day I just got tired of seeing the same mo-fo's on the tube so I said, "fuck, I can do this, and with much fresher artist(s), that nobody has heard of, " so there went the launch of that.(the first volume is on sale at: www.iap-tv.com : go to store then dvd's: Pick it up and tell me whatcha think. Oh, keep check for the trailor for part 2: COMING SOON2. R.E.A.D.Y. RAP RADIO: See around here, the radio shows love to indie artist(s) like I show love to bill collectors, cops, and rednecks. (Better example: Picture a STRANGER, with a HIV needle pressuring you to "try some of this.") Harsh but true, so hell, I made up a radio staion that focuses strictly on indie artist(s) R.E.A.D.Y. stands for: Revolutionary, Educated, Able to Dominate and YNOT I'm currently releasing a slew of mixcd's hosted by yours truely giving you the HOTTEST, the LATEST and GREATEST in KILLA INDEPENDENT HEAT.3. This is the newbie, and this is what I'm looking to catapult this godforsaken state to unseen heights. I'm the editor of a urban newspaper titled, "Da 'LIL Folk", (late 2nd quarter release). It's the Generation Now Newspaper Geared Toward the Independent Artist(s) We're covering everything from Worldly/Current Events to High School Athletes, from Fashion to Indie Rock, from Health/Fitness to Alternative Living, if the forget to mention it in the regular newspaper, we probably cover it. Another major media market for a aspiring journalist, photographer, artist(s) to be seen/heard.
