About Me

MegaMan X Zero is a class A Maveric Hunter that fights along X. After being destroyed. Zero dedicated his entire life to fighting against the MavericksMegaMan Z SeriesMegaMan Zero 1: The story begins with a human scientist named Ciel and her reploid companions being chased through an underground bunker. Their relentless pursuers are mass produced X look-a-likes called Pantheons, among other terrible machines. After heavy losses, Ciel and company arrive at a sealed chamber containing Zero who has been powered down for 100 years. After sleeping for a hundred years, Zero awakens to a world where reploids are being constantly accused of being Mavericks and systematically "retired", apparently under the direction of X himself. Assisting Ciel in her escape from the bunker, Zero begins his fight against X's utopia, Neo Arcadia, and its Four Guardians: Harpuia, Leviathan, Fefnir, and Phantom. Before the last fourth of the game, Ciel confesses that the X in current Neo Arcadia is not the real X; she created him when the real X went missing a long time ago. As Zero reaches Area X, he finds that Ciel told him the truth; the X he meets is indeed not the one he knew. After defeating Copy X, Zero narrowly escapes the explosion it sets off, and is flung out of communication range with the resistance. Landing in a desert, he is awakened by the real X who had taken the form of a Cyber Elf. X explains to Zero that since he disappeared 100 years ago and left him alone, X had been fighting the Mavericks by himself. He asks Zero to watch the world for him and allow him to rest for awhile MegaMan Zero 2: One year has passed since Zero defeated Copy X. He has since spent his time wandering the desert defeating wave after wave of Pantheons. As the game opens, Zero wearily makes his way through a sandstorm wrapped in a tattered cloak. As the sands die down he realizes he is once more being chased by enemies. Despite being in disrepair, with cracked armor and broken weapons (his rod and shield were useless), his cloak is thrown to the winds and his Buster Shot is drawn in defense."This isn't fun anymore." he says, after dispatching the first of an endless wave of enemies.Elsewhere, the three surviving members of the Four Guardians (Phantom blew himself up trying to stop Zero's assault on Area X) assumed command of Neo Arcadia, with Harpuia as the leader. Copy X's death was covered up, as the humans revered him as their saviour. Some time later, the conflict between Neo Arcadia and the Resistance continued with no difference. Meanwhile, Ciel worked on a way to solve the energy crisis that lead to all of these problems in the first place. However, a Resistance leader, the reploid Elpizo, thought that Ciel's search was futile; he led an assault on Neo Arcadia, from which he was the only survivor. Driven mad by this, he sought the power of the legendary Dark elf, which had brought about the Elf Wars a hundred years ago.Elpizo, using the powers granted by unsealing a portion of the power of the Dark Elf, invades Neo Arcadia and single-handedly breaks into the temple where the body of the real X, revered by all in the utopia, was kept. X had disappeared because he ended the Elf Wars by sealing the Dark Elf away with his body. Elpizo destroys X's body, unsealing the Dark Elf, and uses her powers. Zero manages to stop him from unleashing them on the world, and Elpizo is defeated. As he lies dying, he apologizes for everything he's done. And then, the Dark Elf glows with a warm light, and saves him, turning him into a cyber elf. He tells Zero that she isn't truly evil, and departs. X then arrives, and tells Zero about the Dark Elf, who, too, departs. She was created to be a saviour, but was cursed by a man named Dr. Weil, and used...Meanwhile, a mysterious voice calls for someone named Omega to actMegaMan Zero 3: At the start of the third game, the following synopsis of the first few games is shown:The legendary reploid Zero awoke from a long slumber... With Ciel's resistance he defeated Copy X, the ruler of Neo Arcadia. The terror of the Neo Arcadian regime ended, but the energy shortage remained a constant problem. Ciel devoted herself to researching new forms of energy. And Elpizo became the newly appointed resistance leader. However, overcome by his desire for power, Elpizo awakened the Dark Elf, whose magic had once nearly destroyed the world. Elpizo thirsting for the power of the Dark Elf, lost sight of his true duty, and was finally defeated after a fierce battle. However, the Dark Elf fled, her destination unknown.. The battle has just begun...The third game starts 2 months after the events of the second. A recently crashed spaceship emits energy similar to the Dark Elf, and Zero sets out to investigate. Not long into the mission Ciel and a pair of resistance members are captured by Neo Arcadia as Zero enters the ship. But they are not harmed, nor are they held prisoner, as an incident breaks out involving a giant reploid named Omega that not even Leviathan and Fefnir combined can handle. Zero interupts the battle and is left to handle things on his own. Soon thereafter a Dr. Weil is introduced, as well as a new Copy X who has reclaimed leadership of Neo Arcadia, much to the chagrin of Harpuia. After a missile is launched at a densely populated area to enable Omega to capture the Dark Elf, Zero goes off to fight Copy X and defeats him. But before Copy X can transform again, he is betrayed and killed by a trap placed on his body by Weil. With Copy X out of the way, Weil asummes command of Neo Arcadia and uses the Dark Elf and Omega to seize control of all Reploids. After Zero destroys both Baby Elves, he heads to destroy Omega's Dark Elf enhanced form, defeating the Reploid twice. From the remains of Omega, however, rises a Reploid that looks just like Zero and at that moment, Weil informs Zero he is merely a copy and that Omega inhabits Zero's original body. After Zero and Omega do battle, X appears and confirms to Zero that they fought against and sealed Omega centuries ago. Before Weil can force the Dark Elf to rejoin with "Omega", the Guardians appear and further damage him. Eventually Zero makes the decision to finish him off, regardless of him being inside Zero's real body or not. In the explosion, Zero is knocked out and sees visions of X. He tells Zero that he is out of power and can no longer exist in the human world. He is confident Zero can protect the world from now on and fades away (presumed to have retired to cyber space). The Guardians have also died in the explosion, according to the Rockman Zero Official Complete Works artbook.Zero's unconscious body is brought back to the Resistance Base by the Dark Elf. With Weil's defeat, the curse placed upon the Dark Elf (now known as Mother Elf) is broken and she flies away. But losing Omega and Mother Elf still didn't change the fact that Weil was now undisputed ruler of Neo Arcadia. And he would set apocalyptic events in motion in Mega Man Zero 4.MegaMan Zero 4: Humans have begun leaving Neo Arcadia since Dr. Weil assumed power. Labeled as human Mavericks for opposing his rule, a caravan led by a journalist named Neige is attacked by Variants, {Neo Arcadian Foot Soldiers section) on their way to freedom. Ciel and a small handful of resistance members happen upon them as they drive cross-country in their convoy and Zero comes to their aid. After rescuing the caravan, Neige explains that they were en route to Area Zero, one of the last natural habitats that can support human life outside of Neo Arcadia.(Area Zero is where the Eurasia colony had crashed more than a century earlier in Mega Man X5.)Shortly after parting ways with the caravan, Zero learns of a plot to destroy Area Zero from Kraft, Doctor Weil's second in command. This "Operation Ragnarok" was meant to destroy all environments outside of Neo Arcadia, such that life could not be sustained outside of Neo Arcadia; this was meant to force all humans to return and live under Weil's rule. Zero sets out to stop the Einherjar: Pupilla Cockapetri, Noble Mandrago, Sol Titanian, Fenri Lunaedge, Tech Kraken, Mino Magnax, Pegasolta Éclair, and Heat Genblem, to spare the planet from literal destruction. After stopping the Einherjar, Zero learns that they were just a distraction, and an orbital satellite, Ragnarok, can wipe out the environment with its cannon. But before Weil can use it himself, Craft rebels against him and fires upon Neo Arcadia in an attempt to kill Weil, regardless of the fact that innocents might be killed. Needless to say Zero stops him. The reploids at Resistance Base are dispatched to gather the survivors of the attack and all seems well until another beam strikes the planet.Weil had teleported directly onto the station and manually directed its flight path into a decaying orbit above Area Zero. As the station plummets toward the planet, Zero teleports back onto it and makes his way to Weil. Aware that the two of them were minutes from a fiery crash landing, Zero questions Weil as to how he survived the initial strike on Neo Arcadia. Weil is more than willing to share his secret with Zero.Weil it is revealed, is indeed a human, but one who was augmented into a bionic/reploid hybrid by the same people who exiled him and Omega into space at the end of the Elf Wars. His new body is incapable of aging, or more importantly, dying as it constantly repairs and upgrades itself. Weil purposely set the station to crash knowing full well he could survive the impact and oversee the destruction of Area Zero personally.Zero and Weil enter battle with Zero the victor. But, as Weil said, his body could not be destroyed and instead merged with the remainder of Ragnarok. Weil left Zero with an ultimatum; if Zero was to stop him, a human, Zero would be forced to use lethal force. Since only a Maverick Reploid would ever harm a human, this would put to question Zero's standing. Zero's reply to Weil solidifies the promise he had made to X in the first game."I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!"Despite protests from Ciel for not teleporting back from this obvious suicide mission, Zero asks her to believe in him as he engages in a final battle with Weil. Upon destroying Weil's core, a chain reaction passes through the circuts of Ragnarok and the station is blown apart. The entire mass scatters in the atmosphere and rains down to earth as harmless, fiery fragments. After communication with Ragnarok is abruptly cut short, Ciel runs outside distraught. She passes through Area Zero where it is confirmed Zero did not teleport back. After a short pep talk to the refugees, to mask her sadness, Ciel runs to the edge of the settlement where she drops to her knees crying. After drying her tears, she promises to build the ideal planet where reploids and humans can live together in harmony. Ciel believes that Zero is alive and will come back one day.For the final scene of the game, the player is shown the image of Zero's helmet as it lays shattered in the desert as the morning sun crests the hillside. It is speculated that there is a silhouette standing where the sun is shining, but this could simply be a rock or part of the cliff.
