About Me

Day Job: Egalitarian Middle Management/Admin-type; Night Job: Striving Musician.Born and raised in the bone-shattering winters and blistering, mosquito-clad summers of Winnipeg, I started my singing career at the early age of 5 making appearances at family friends' wedding receptions. Shortly after, I was introduced to the world of Yamaha Electone Organs and focused my attention towards keyboards and organ playing (temporarily forgetting about singing) - later becoming a well sought church and wedding organist by the time I was 8. By the late teens, I rediscovered the vocal pipes and became involved in drama productions and sang in various musical projects, taking time on the weekends to cultivate my reputation as a well-sought (but cheezy) wedding singer/ organist.Over my years in Winnipeg, my instrumental compositions have been used by a handful of young, budding artists and by organizations seeking theme song material. I have also conducted church choirs (introducing pop and electronica music in some circumstances).I moved from Winnipeg to Victoria, taking stops at different places in between. During stops that involved staying for a period of time and taking residence, I became involved with the music community either in the form of a disk jockey, a church or arena organist (Oh, those good ol' hockey songs...), or playing and sitting-in with various bands along the way. Some of my musical projects have included The Chain of Being, The Motor Town Review, Freeb Ear, Back Trax, LasWages, 3 Power, Gooneh Goo Goo, and The Usual Suspects. My instrumental soundtrack work has been utilized by the Manitoba Planitarium, Folklorama (Winnipeg Manitoba), Athol Murray College of Notre Dame (Wilcox, Saskatchewan), Noisemedia (animation studio in Vancouver, BC), Big Head Productions (animation studio in Vancouver, BC), and I have accompanied several talented, vocalists (including MaAnne Dionisio of Miss Saigon fame). My voice impersonation talent has been used in an animated sequence made for www.toyota.com in 2003 ("The Toyota Rally Race"). [**Special thanks to my cousin, Johnny for getting me a spot in the Toyota production and in the "Uncle Goat" cartoon pilot for CBC Maple Shorts Animation Festival.]HERE'S THE LINK FOR TOYOTA'S RALLY RACE: http://www.noisemedia.com/pf/ty_rallyrace/index2.htmlHERE'S THE LINK FOR "UNCLE GOAT": http://www.cbc.ca/mapleshorts/films/?filmid=38
