About Me

I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

I am a man who realizes the significance of a simple moment or gesture but who definitely appreciates the finer things in life. Money may not buy happiness, but it can certainly rent it for awhile. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I prefer to be around people who don't take themselves too seriously. Friends and family are truly important and I am loyal to a fault. I will go to the ends of the Earth for my people. I love sparkling, intellectual conversation. I don't mind if you disagree with me as a good spirited debate can be quite enjoyable, just as long as everybody plays nicely in the sandbox.

My Interests

I love to go to concerts, the theater, sporting events, museums and I am willing to try just about anything at least once. Some nights, I prefer the quieter atmosphere of a lounge or cafe where we can talk and actually enjoy one another's company. I love to go out dancing and will literally dance all night if given the chance.

I'd like to meet:

I'm really looking to meet some cool people and expand my friend base. The experience has been pretty good so far with the exception of a few maladjusted individuals who needed to be hugged more as children(...and you know who are).

Music:

Music is my life. I am a musician so I can appreciate all types of music. Hip Hop, Pop, R&B, Rock, Jazz (traditional and fusion),Reggae you name it, I'll listen to it at least once. Artists Sweetback, Sting, Jay-Z, Seal, Maxwell, N'Dea Davenport(if you're not hip to her, you're missing out), Notorious B.I.G., 2pac, Bob Marley, Donald Fagen, Animal Logic, Busta Rhymes, A Tribe called Quest, Public Enemy, Brand New Heavies, Remy Shand, Jaco Pastorius, Jurassic 5, Jill Scott ...the list goes on

Movies:

I love great movies Shawshank Redemption, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai, Gladiator, A Soldier's Story, Philadelphia, L.A. Confidential, Carlito's Way, Donnie Brasco, Belly, Godfather I&II, Goodfellas, Star Wars (yes, I liked all of them and stop hating on George Lucas!),Cinderella Man, Last of the Mohicans, Heat, O Brother Where Art Thou, Lackawanna Blues, State Property (O.K. the acting kinda sucked, but I am giving them props for the attempt, and your boy Damon Dash does have some comedic skills), Unforgiven, The Untouchables, Dances With Wolves, A River Runs Through It, Lock,Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Legends of the Fall, Million Dollar Baby...I'll add as I think of them

Television:

Law & Order (all of them), Entourage, Family Guy, Boondocks, Dave Chappelle Show, The Wire, The Simpsons, The Sopranos, The Shield, Rescue Me, Thief, South Park, SportsCenter, SpeedChannel, BBC America, Discovery Channel, The Food Network, Boomerang, Animal Planet, History Channel

Books:

Standing at the Scratch Line and it's sequel Echoes of a Distant Summer both by Guy Johnson (Maya Angelou's son), great recreational reads, impossible to put down. Jefferson's Pillow by Roger Wilkins, The Souls of Black Folk by W.E.B.DuBois (One brother truly ahead of his time!) Lincoln by Gore Vidal. It is a novelization of Lincoln's presidency during the Civil War... The Art of War by Sun Tzu, great life lessons... Novels by James Patterson, Walter Mosley, Dan Brown and John Grisham

Heroes:

My awesome parents, who taught me about everything that is decent in life...My brother Mike just because he's the freaking man!
