My Interests

It's a great new website for MOMS! Check it out!!!
Reading and writing, music, politics, debating, computers, internet, I just recently discovered that I love snorkeling. Photography is a BIG passion of mine. I am not great at it but I really love it and I have taken some really cool shots. Floral design.

I'd like to meet:

I am looking for friends. But guy friends would be really great. :)I would love to meet a man. I mean, a MAN. A fully grown, fully matured, fully intelligent man. Someone who doesnt run away or go underground the second things get a little crazy. Someone who knows how to have fun but NEVER at the expense of others. I dont care if you are short or tall. I dont care what you do for a living (so long as it is legal) and I dont care how much money you make (so long as you are responsible with what you do have). I dont care if you are fat or thin, bald or have a full head of hair. I dont care what your political or religious beliefs are. So long as you are open minded, humorous, caring and faithful, we shouldnt have a problem. Of course, you DO have to like kids.I am NOT looking to be another number on someone's friend's list. I am also not looking to add numbers to mine. If thats all you want then keep moving. I also do NOT respond to ignorantly written messages and I certainly dont respond (at least not nicely) to messages asking me to be your "on the side" sex fling.I enjoy trying new things and am looking for someone to experience life with. I am looking for someone to HAVE FUN with!!!!SOMEONE PLEASE COME BRING SOME EXCITEMENT INTO MY LIFE!!!!

Music:

My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Used, Saosin, The Almost, The White Stripes, Maroon 5, The Automatic Automatic, Pink, 3 Days Grace, Sum 41, Linkin Park,Foo Fighters, Colm Wilkinson, Broadway musicals, Barry Manilow, Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry, Andre Rieu, and SO many more that I cant think of right now. Love everything from rock to classical and opera but can do without rap, R&B and most pop.

Movies:

I really loved Dream Girls. Amazingly I really liked the Spiderman movies and the Pirates movies. Not that I had a choice in seeing them. Knocked Up is a seriously funny movie! 300 is a great movie. And Requiem For a Dream is VERY good! My most all time favorite movie though is Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Did I mention Lord of the Rings? I cant believe I didnt. I LOVE those movies!!Just saw Juno, great movie. A lot better than I thought it would be. Good Luck Chuck is a really cute, if not rather vulgar movie. Eastern Promises is a GREAT movie! Its very violent but its a great story. Rendition is great as well as The Valley of Elah.

Television:

Because of my night job I watch a LOT of tv. Mostly reality shows. There are way too many to list.

Books:

One of the best books I have ever read...

"I know this much is true" .
If you havent read it...DO SO! Amazing book!!! LOOONG book..LOL! But it is a really wonderful book.Change me into Zeus's Daughter by is a WONDERFUL book by Barbara Robinette Moss . Especially to those of us who are less than perfect physically.I will read anything I can get my hands on. There are some books called The Second Coming of Lucy Hatch and the sequel named The Last of the Honky Tonk Angles which are wonderful and amazing books. At Home in the World by Joyce Maynard. I dont have any particulars, I will read cereal boxes and instruction books if I have to. LOL!The Davinci Code and its a GREAT book. Better than the movie.Set This House in Order is a very interesting and good book. Its about mental illness and half way through you begin to wonder if you arent mentally ill yourself! LOL! Very intriguing.Three Came Home is SUCH a great book. My Father's Keeper about the children of Nazi leaders is very interesting and enlightening. I am currently in the process of A Tale Of Two Cities. Very hard to read but I am hooked on it.These few books are nowhere near close to what I have read even in the last few months.A Tale of Two Cities is a very difficult book to read but I dont know how I got this old without reading it before. I just read it recently and its a really great book! It was very hard to understand and get into but the last half of the book is the reward for getting through the first half. I have read books that were partly in German and they were easier to understand than this one. LOL!

Heroes:

I have no heros because everyone is human and shouldnt be put on a pedestal. Everyone makes mistakes and who am I to hold anyone to a higher standard. There are people I admire but it is a private thing. They are mostly people in my everyday life. Not celebrities or anything like that.
Right now I consider the men and women of our armed forces heros. Those fighting in just wars and unjust wars. No matter what, they put their lives on their line to do their job. And they do it well.
