Sherry (Ellen Page- Hard Candy, X-Men 3) is a 15 year old punk kid in London who joins up with a nomadic cult called S.P.A.R.K. (Street People Armed With Radical Knowledge). Sherry adopts the group as her surrogate family, and travels with them across Europe until they eventually squat an old vineyard in Portugal. She loses her virginity, and her illusions as she becomes drawn deeper into the group and discovers too late that S.P.A.R.K. isn't exactly what it appears to be. Soon Sherrys' mother Rose (Natasha Wightman - V For Vendetta) tracks her down and attempts to rescue her but gets lured in by Harry the extremely charismatic leader who convinces her that S.P.A.R.K, has more to offer than life as single mother living in London. Tensions come to a boil as Harry manipulates the S.P.A.R.K. kids with psychological gameplaying, and brutal punishment. Two deaths ensure the submission of most of the group, but Sherry and her potential lover Mad Ax plan a daring escape. This intense psychological drama explores power dynamics and the deficiencies of human nature in an articulate and smart way, and serves as a warning against hierarchy and cult-of-personality.

Biographies:Ellen Page:
Ellen was born February 21, 1987 and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She attended three different high schools before graduating from the Shambhala School in 2005 in Halifax. Page started her drama training at the Neptune Theatre School. She began her acting career at the age of 11 in a made-for-TV film (which would later be made into a series) called Pit Pony. This led to roles in a number of small Canadian films and television series. At age 16 she was cast in an independent film shot in Europe, Mouth to Mouth , which solidified her place among the most talented young actors in Canada. She has a starring role in Hard Candy and as Kitty Pryde in X-Men: The Last Stand. She had previously received attention, particularly in her native Canada, for award-winning roles in Pit Pony and Marion Bridge and TV shows Trailer Park Boys and Regenesis. Ellen has roles in three as-yet unreleased films: The Basement (also noted as An American Crime), based on the true story of Sylvia Likens, opposite Catherine Keener, as well as The Tracey Fragments, and Jack and Diane, a lesbian love story with a shocking twist.
Alison Murray:Alison was 15 she ran away from Canada for London and had some crazy adventures while living in Europe. She eventually studied dance and theatre before completing an MA in Film Direction at the Royal College of Art. She's been making award-winning short films since Kissy Suzuki Suck. INEVITABLE at Brooklyn Bridge Anchorage - an event billed as "screening today's most important visualists". The Institute of Contemporary Art in London has presented a retrospective of her short films, also shown at the Tate Gallery. In 2000 Alison completed Train on the Brain, an hour long documentary for Channel 4 and TVOntario in which she hopped frieght trains across North America, armed with a DV and Super 8 camera. woo!Mouth to Mouth is her first feature film as a script writer and director. Right now she is working on a new documentary about Carny's! (travelling fairground workers). Get in touch if you want to help out with her next film.
