SeasonsofSix first came together when the guitar duo that is Marcel and JJJ, met in 2003 at the right time in each of their personal lifelong musical journeys. This chance meeting and subsequent first jam inspired the nutty friends to start working on some material for a new project together, a shared musical vision, an electricity in the riffs saw to it that the brothers six kindled and stoked the flames of their new band.
They kept it kicking through constantly striving to be better than you were yesterday kinda thing and constantly workin at comin up with the most headbangin riffs. With a blend of mainly old school thrash and stoner metal, and some demo songs in hand the guitarists begun to look to recruit the other ranks.Bloody Kev (Raging Speedhorn/Hard To Swallow/Dead Inside/Helvis) was on hand in the early days, making his mark on the 2006 EP release "hunger For your self", together with Mark Higgins on drums, and late in the day, Nicky Velvet Cuts joining the line up to take over bass duties from various other possible recruits(Marcel'clint'Contreras had doubled up on four of the EP tracks doing bass also). Nicky Velvet Cuts brings a new dimesion and melodic element and depth to the bands sound through masterful bass playing, all of which can be clearly heard on her recording debut with the band, the instrumental version of 'seasonal ember' recorded for the EP, which was all recorded at Zed One studios in Camden. This track also featured the legendary Jaime Gomez on drums, as well as engineering the track and finally mixing and mastring it too!. The Ep was part mixed and mastered by Wayne 'the beyatch' Pieterse at Witchdoctorrecords(tracks 4&5, original mixes 1&2), after which the remaining tracks and final master were carried out by Jaime Gomez at his studio.Despite getting strong reviews in metal press such as Kerrang!, Rocksound and Terrorizer etc. SeasonsofSix were not able to tour with this line up as Bloody Kev embarked on Raging Speedhorn tour to the states! and Mark Higgins had to go back to Northern Ireland for personal reasons. It took the band an eternity to find the right replacements, jammin with possible recruits fo months at a time but through the agony and frustration of auditioning various musicians, found Al 'Cletus van Damme' Stokes on vocals, and the polish madman, George Gzergorz 'Slice n Dice' Mazur on drums!SeasonsofSix sound has now moved towards being far more thrash/melodic thrash since the days of the EP and first line-up, also thanks to the vocal power found in Al 'Cletus van Damme' Stokes taking the whole band ultimately in the direction they had always wanted to go.This is the line up Seasons Of Six have been waiting for and are now ready to show the world what has been locked up in the bands inner sanctum.
