About Me

Ah...the age-old essay topic of "about me". Well, for starters I hate writing about myself and would much rather email/talk! For veterans, school, then working, then doing a combination of school and work, I finally love what I'm doing, work-wise--now it's time to meet some people! :) I moved down to the DC area about 8 months ago and although that seems like kind of a long time ago already, I still consider myself pretty "new" to the area since there's a TON I still have yet to see, do and explore! My favorite things to do are hang out with friends, family, do new things and see new sights, and work (I know, very nerd-like of me, but I really do love what I'm doing!). Whatever I'm doing while I do those favorite things, doesn't really matter. :)

My Interests

Ah...another age-old essay topic... LAUGHING, friends, family, religion, education, music, movies, traveling, reading...the usual suspects.

I'd like to meet:

Abraham Lincoln and Moses, but I think the chances of that happening are slim to none. :) For now, I'd just like to meet other people in the area, people with whom I've lost touch, and anybody else who wants to meet me!

Music:

Daniel Powter (amazing CD!), James Blunt, Jason Mraz, Ben Folds (Five), soundtracks, Bette Midler (sorry guys), Billy Joel, Elton John--anything that's good. :)

Movies:

My top two are "Beaches" and "Goodfellas" and "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" is a close third (but it's not quite there yet!). I'm "special" that way. ;)

Television:

TiVo. :) Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, Jeopardy (it's DEFINITELY the nerd in me!), Law & Order: SVU (it's bad when you have dreams about Benson and Stabler questioning you), Without a Trace, Criminal Minds (excellent, excellent show!), In Justice--perhaps I should be looking into the field of law...

Books:

Anything by Tami Hoag, a lot by James Patterson, and the old stuff by John Grisham. A few of Jennifer Weiner's books and Tova Mirvis', too. Although I have to admit that my new reading "interest" is leadership/business books. Go figure.

Heroes:

My parents, my grandparents, and a couple of my best friends.
