2002 | 4 guys with an appetite for good music were bound to give their musical capabilities a second chance after an earlier band split up waaay to early. Kenny, Jo, Sieg and Kim try again and give it all they got, and yes:
40WayzfromSunday is born!
But the band will first need a bass player and a drummer. Tim-Oliver, who will be named Bimmie later on, is met by Sieg @ Funtime Fest 2002 and Stef provides 40Wayz from Sunday with beats.
2003 | After a couple of rehearsals, Kim leaves the band but leaves his inspiration and sound where it belonged: with us! 40Wayz' vocal cords change a few times, but as we thought: Kenny proved to be the man for the job!
A couple of months later on, Sieg decides to masterfully record our first song ever, Lost Within, totally on his own! And what a result!
2004 | The band has been given their own private Headquarters, Stef leaves 40Wayz due to personal reasons. Their friend Niels takes place behind the drums and finally: 40wayzfromsunday is complete!
After only 4 weeks with Niels, they can already gig again and decide to put down some tracks in the studio as their first release: the "Default State of being" EP. This ,probably, was the sign that the band has got some potential, and has the ability to continue down the Highway of Music, but a grand don't come for free!
2005 | Gigs started and kept on coming. Ask the band if they played in your hometown during the spring of 2005, probably the answer will be "Yes".Some were good, some were bad and some were just funny-ass homegigs.
2006 | Gigs got bigger, longer, better and crowdier. About halfway 2006, the "Out With The Old, In With The New"-policy is activated, with effect! From that day on, everyone shall write 40Waysfromsunday instead of 40 Wayz from Sunday, 40 Wayz, 40 Wayz to Sunday, 40 Wayz 'til Sundays or even 40 Wayz to the Sunday boys. If that's not enough, they meet Rikkerd in the fall of 2006, and he decided that 40ways should be on his little, soon to be big, label: OPINION RECORDS!
And that's how the cookie crumbles. Now we're one of the Opinion Records- bands, together with Goddamn Hippies and Crack Jenny's Teacup (make sure to check them out as well).
