I have been painting on masonite board and canvas, doing good but not getting really excited as I am trying to FIND MYSELF!NOW! I am really excited! I am now painting on BAMBOO and making the frames from bamboo. Everything comes from SCRATCH!"POP ART" The term first appeared in Britain in the 1950's and referred to the interest of a number of artists into the MASS MEDIA, ADVERTISING, COMICS AND CONSUMER PRODUCTS. POP ART coincided with the YOUTH and POP MUSIC PHENOMENON OF THE 50'S AND 60'S and became very much a part of FASHIONABLE "SWINGING" LONDON.But it was ANDY WARHOL who became the symbol of POP ART and who took it to the farthest edge!SILKSCREENS are still made today the same way WARHOL made his screens except for the finale process.
