It wasn't until 2003 when rapper Young Cheez started to take the rap game seriously. With his first mixtape "Meet me at the Top" vol.1 a new standard was set for the city of Clarksville,TN. His buzz surprised him just as much as it surprised anybody else. Rapping was no long just for fun anymore, it became his job.
When he released his 2nd mixtape "Meet me at the Top" vol.2, the haters came a whole lot faster than the lovers. This project was said to be the best put together project dealing with music out the city of Clarksville to its date. It featured every rapper out the city with a buzz at the time such as: Al Pistol,Young Fresh,Big Nut,Stackhouse,Mainboyz,JCash, and more!
Young Cheez then joined forces with Y.N.G.M. All the members of the group were solo artists. They came to the conclusion that together they could take over the city with the buzz they had as solo artists. The loyalty they showed within each other is a rare case especially with a group so big. Their loyalty made it easy to accomplish the goal they were aiming at. At this point YNGM joined forces with the powerhouse independent label Laneboy Entertainment. Although Young Cheez isn't signed to Laneboy as a solo artist, YNGM is signed to them as a group which forms one hell of a dream team. With the release of Robert Porters(Laneboy Ent CEO) debut album "Black Box" as well as Young Cheez underground debut "Realness Rehab" it is already understood that there no where for them to go from here but to the Top!
