Hakkai is a beautiful green-eyed man with an easy manner and big brother attitude. He is always apologising and trying to take care of everyone. He is a true peace maker. But beware, he does have his evil side as well. He has a pet small white dragon which, incidentally, turns into a jeep that all four of them ride for transportation.
Sanzo is a frank, violent, ill-tempered monk of the highest rank. He carries a handgun and uses it to kill demons. He also uses a paper fan to smack his 'companions' over the head with. He can chant scriptures and uses this power to immobilise his enemies. Sanzo does care, he just has a...funny way of showing it.
Gojyo is a gambler, smoker and drinker who likes a good fight and hates Sanzo as well as Goku, one of the other travelling companions. Gojyo fights with some kind of odd weapon that is more than it seems. Gojyo is actually from a human mother and a demon father.
