With the vocal strengths of an old soul and the creative range of a poised prodigy; Aquia is in top contention to be one of tomorrows top entertainers. Aquia is one of the most diverse talents around. Aquia's love for music didn't come initially: her fisrt love was acting. She earned the starring role in "43 Days"- a straight to DVD movie produced by Diana Lamar of Outpost 7 Productions. At the tender age of four years old, Aquia attended the Harlem School of the Arts (with Director Alfred Priesser). She graduated from the renowned Schhool of Performing Arts where she studied classical music, opera, engineering, and productions. As her high school years came to an end she decided to pursue her love of education and her dream of educating children at A University, where she studies early childhood education.
Aquia i sno staranger to the music industry. She is featured on two tracks with One Enterprises' artist "Akir" and "Immortal Techniques": "Resurrect" and "Legacy." (The two tracks above were recorded when she was only 14) Through a mutual friend Aquia was introduced to the CEO of Artists-First Entertainment LLC, where she began her professionaly musical career.Aquia is rapidly taking her position as the next pop r&b diva. Her strong soulful sound has been compared to the likes of Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Monica and Mary J. Blidge. Most recently Aquia has opened up for Angie stone in Washington, DC, and has wowed various audiences including two powerful performances at musical legends Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar in NYC. Aquia has secured a global Ring Tone deal with 1830 Records, has caught the attention of several Record Company Executuives while performing at the Urban Network 20th Anniversary celebration in New Port Beach, LA, and, through Digiwaxx Media (www.digiwaxx.com), Aquia has had her music downloaded by well over 1,000 Dee-Jays around the globe. Aquia is currently preparing for her next performance at the legendary Madison Square Garden, she will be opening up for Jay-Z. With fans from American to Japan and beyond, Aquia is ready to assume her position at the top of the musical charts!
