About Me

She walks in Beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that's best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellowed to that tender light Which Heaven to gaudy day denies. One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impaired the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o'er her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express, How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.And on that cheek, and o'er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all below, A heart whose love is innocent! She Walks in Beauty by George Gordon, Lord Byron

My Interests

Wasting time online. And Schoolhouse Rock... Conjunction Junction, what's your function? Hooking up phrases and clauses that balance, like: Out of the frying pan and into the fire. He cut loose the sandbags, But the balloon wouldn't go any higher. Let's go up to the mountains, Or down to the sea. You should always say "thank you", Or at least say "please."

Television:

I don't watch much television any more. However, I have become addicted to scouring YouTube for old episodes of The Colbert Report and Family Guy.

Instead of rattling off a list of what I've already read, how about what I'm thinking about reading... Me Talk Pretty One Day; Magical Thinking: True Stories; A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius; The Afghan Campaign: A novel; From Beirut to Jerusalem; The Ordeal of Riley McReynolds; Intelligence: From Secrets to Policy; A Look Over My Shoulder; The Main Enemy: The Inside Story of the CIA's Final Showdown with the KGB; Holy Blood, Holy Grail; Sperm Wars: The Science of Sex; William Eggleston's Guide; Uncommon Places: The Complete Works; Winogrand 1964; Arrivals & Departures: The Airport Pictures of Garry Winogrand; Stories from Life: The Photography of Horace Bristol; Architecture and Design Library: Retro-Modern; Cowboy Chic.
