I have an extremely eclectic taste in music -- rock, pop, alternative, classical, and songs from musicals. Some favorite artists include Billy Joel, Alanis Morissette, Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton, Aerosmith, Bo Bice, Live, Natasha Bedingfield, Eve 6, James Blunt, Ghost of the Robot, Jewel, Nickelback, Staind, R.E.M., Sarah McLachlan, Savage Garden, Semisonic, and Tal Bachman.
Way too many to list... Favorite genres include musicals, "sappy, girly," comedy, history, drama, the Harry Potter series, and Disney. Of course, one can never own too many versions of "Pride and Prejudice."
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is my absolute favorite; maybe I'm prejudiced because Joss Whedon went to Wesleyan. Other favorites include watching Yankees games, "Bones" (my current obsession), "The Office," "The Simpsons," "Heroes," "Lois and Clark," and shows on the Food Network.
I'm *always* in the middle of at least one book -- such is the life of an English teacher. Current favorites include romance novels, books on the Holocaust, mysteries (i.e. Dan Brown), medical thrillers (i.e. Robin Cook, another Wesleyan alum), "Wicked," and the Harry Potter series. Literature favorites -- Austen, Shakespeare, Dickens, Homer, Dostoevsky, Stowe, Fitzgerald, Melville, Mayhew, and the three Brontes.
