About Me

Free Myspace Layouts and Backgrounds

Thanks for spending some time here! I'm a Star Wars fan (duh), a writer, an instructional designer, a researcher, and more that I can't think of right now. I love movies (especially old ones!), music (Nickelback, Three Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman, 80s stuff, and more), all things Irish or Scottish, and more. I'm fascinated by forensic science. I like traveling, when I get the chance. I enjoy talking to people who are intelligent, articulate, and respectful (that means that if you're going to write and ask something vulgar, don't. I won't take kindly to it.)

My Interests

This list seems to grow often, so don't think my interests are limited to what's here!I like movies, especially old movies. I enjoy reading and writing (mostly science fiction). I LOVE music, in a variety of genres. I'm fascinated by forensic science. I like working with computers and the Internet. I love working in education. I'm an animal lover, especially dogs and horses.

I'd like to meet:

Intelligent people, old and new friends, and other Star Wars dorks ;o)

Music:

NICKELBACK, Three Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman, Split Enz, U2, The Corrs, Flogging Molly, Off Kilter, and lots of 80s music. I've recently been introduced to the music of Chevelle, Rise Against, and Breaking Benjamin.

Movies:

Star Wars, good adaptations of Shakespeare (love Kenneth Branaugh), Regarding Henry, You've Got Mail (and all of its precursors), Psycho (the original), The Rear Window, Gone With the Wind, Wolves at Our Door/Living with Wolves (documentary)

Television:

Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, Coupling, My Family, Project Runway, The First 48, Ghost Hunters, Most Haunted, Good Eats. (Alton Brown is brilliant!)

Books:

Anything Shakespeare, The Time Traveler's Wife, The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon, The Lovely Bones, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series (or any Douglas Adams), In Cold Blood.

Heroes:

My dad. He's overcome so much, struggled so hard, provided and protected so well, loved so deeply, and become the epitome of a family patriarch.

Nothing is certain except....

Death. Forget the taxes thing. It's not certain -- you just get in huge trouble if you don't pay them. Death....well, there's no way around that. A woman I worked with in Texas passed away suddenly o...
