Neverstore - Waiting
Since the release of their debut album Seven Hundred Sundays, in January 2007, the Swedish punk-trio Neverstore have been riding in the fast lane. The first single, “So Much of Not Enoughâ€, immediately got heavy rotation on the Swedish National Radio as well as the biggest commercial radio stations and MTV soon hooked up and gave the video massive support, but more important - the rumor of their greatness began to spread over the Internet. Playing in a genre that's not favored by aspiring bands in Sweden, Neverstore obviously filled a void, because the ever so music-thirsty teenagers quickly took them to their hearts. Up until now, their fans have started a number of street teams (in Sweden, the UK and Brazil), as well as several communities with thousands of members all over the world. Their Myspace page has been visited over 400.000 times, and the video for “So Much of Not Enough†scores over 70.000 hits on Youtube. It was this loyal fan base that gave the band the prestigious MTV Europe Music Awards 2007 award for Best Swedish Act..
And all this in less than a year since their debut.Neverstore just seem unable to do anything wrong. Their age, looks and attitude combined with great musical talent and a tendency to write catchy songs makes them a winning concept at this time and stage. They’re young but they are by no means beginners. The have played together and rehearsed almost on a daily basis for seven years and having played over 80 gigs so far 2007, (including the big Swedish festivals like; Hultsfred, Peace & Love, Storsjöyran and Pier Pressure as well as supporting international acts like Good Charlotte and Billy Talent) they are now also experienced live performers. The 27th of February 2008, Neverstore released their new record - Heroes Wanted and this time, they have taken the raw energy from their live performances with them into the studio to further refine their sound. The end result is a more dynamic and coherent record with strong, solid songs that refuse to let you go.And you thought that Punk was dead…Contact: [email protected]
