I was born Marion Robert Morrison and when my brother Rob was born my parents changed my name to Marion Michael Morrison. When I was 6 my parents moved us to California where I picked up the nickname "Duke". I have seven Children and 21 grandchildren all of whom I love deeply. To me a handshake is a binding contract. I am a very honest and loyal person. I played football at USC for the Trojans and I was a PROUD member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. I played the lead roll in 142 of the movies I appeared in. My first movie was "Words and Music" in 1929 and the final movie I made was "The Shootist" in 1976. I entered into eternal life on June 11th 1979 I was 72. When asked how I wanted to be remembered I replied "Feo, Fuerte y Formal" which is a spanish proverb meaning "He was ugly, strong and had dignity."
