The very first tunes played by Silverfuse date back to 2005. After their former band had ceased to exist, guitarist Markus and bassist Samuli felt a certain change in the air. They shared a common vision of putting together a fresh and revolutionary rock band that would sound unique and make a brave stand against tiresome rock 'n roll clichés. Vocalist Henri, drummer Jarno and guitarist Tarmo joined the band soon, and after a year as Samuli decided to leave the band, bassist Otto became the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle. The line-up was ready to start shaking the grounds of the Finnish rock scene.
As the band values absolute quality and careful refinement of its work, the year 2005 was a time for preparations. The 10th February 2006 was the first step in bringing Silverfuse into public consciousness: the much anticipated single Smalltown Shelley was released. The second step was taken in July 2006: the energetic and emotional live shows began.
What comes to genre, Silverfuse has from the beginning aimed at creating a sound of its own, which is perhaps best characterized as original and hard-edged but fragile and melancholic. The lyrics cut their way straight into listeners' mind and paint different atmospheres ranging from beauty to anxiety. Besides that, the songs are strong enough to impact the lives of people by shaking their ready-made world views, and deep enough to challenge their minds by giving them something to think about for real.
The quiet times are over. Silverfuse is here.
