About Me

Me?? Hell, it's all about the baby!!!!
Here's Chester's day at my dad and Anita's house, a day before his 7th month of being in the outside world...
Searching on myspace for wise words I came across this quotation which I love:
"Like a bee seeks nectar from all kinds of flowers, seek teachings everywhere. Like a deer that finds a quiet place to graze, seek seclusion to digest all that you have gathered. Like a mad one, beyond all limits go where you please and live like a lion, completely free from all fear."
Mamkhai Norbu Rinpoche, quoting Dzogchen Tantra from his book The Crystal and the Way of Light
Here are some pics of my family and travels...
I'm married to John, whose son Tom lives with us half the time. I'm not working at the moment after having my baby boy, Chester, in September. He's divine! "Motherhood is honey" (-JG).
I've been studying Yoga for about three years now and LOVE IT. Exercise with philosophy - ab muscles with a mental and spiritual workout too!! I go to Body Bliss Yoga in Port Melbourne and cannot recommend the teachers there highly enough. They are wise, inspiring, kind and challenging. They even get me to try upside-down poses which terrify me!
I love this song!!!
.. width="425" height="350" ..
I am an event manager with a background in administration and communications. Between 2003-2005 I managed the operations and admin for the Melbourne Writers' Festival, a major public arts event spanning ten days and multiple venues, featuring ~200 writers in ~150 sessions to an audience of ~35,000. It was huge, hard work and I'm proud of having been involved in putting it together. Arts industry funding being what it is, I'm also glad to have left it to let some other martyrs enter the colosseum.
I've also coordinated 500-delegate conferences, black tie gala events, seminar programs and touring workshops at the Facility Management Association and the University of Melbourne.
Here are some things I support and believe in.

Essential prepatory reading for John Howard's "rational debate"!
It is HOPE that feeds our will to "be the change we wish to see in the world" (Gandhi). (How many quotes can I squeeze into one page???)
Thanks to Mark Ferem for the pic- http://www.myspace.com/latrinalia
By the way, I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
