What's Inside The BLUE ROOMS?

About Me

Suburban Myth started life as The Morgue in 2001 then quickly changed to Urban Myth soon after. Being then a group of two friends who thought doing music would be a 'laugh', they made an album titled "Nocturnal", passed it around to friends and were shocked to find that their friends actually liked it! From then on, Urban Myth (as they were known then) became an ongoing concern as a musical hobby. In 2002 they issued "Fatal Days', a raw electro techno collection that has it's supporters (Dazz being one of them) but found it a stylistic dead end. They weren't strictly techno! Trying to find a music direction they attempted a project called "Casino" which was never completed. Instead they issued "RMX" which was a collection of remixes by themselves and friends of the duo.2004 saw a shift in direction with a song called 'Gimme Some Love' which featured the sampled vocals of Cass Fox. This was leading into R&B territory. They also entered a track of theirs "The Stars" into a JJJ 'Moonlight Music' competition and found themselves short-listed on the winners list (Urban Myth were as shocked as anyone). Work continued on new material when Trevor decided to leave the duo due to other commitments. The resultant collection "Insomniac" featured an emphasis on funk, R&B, 2-step garage with a hint of trance. It became their most popular to date.2005 saw the group reduced to one (Dazz) and a change of name to Suburban Myth owing to the number of people already using their old moniker. New name meant new direction again and thus was created "Neon Audio" (2006) which became their most popular CD yet. It featured such genres as pop, psychedelic trance, jazz funk, house and even a mambo! It was (and still is) getting attention in all the right places with a number of tracks ('Do It Right', 'A Letter To Eloise', 'Another Night' and 'Feel The Night') getting some play in the clubs.2007 - ?. Right now Dazz is working on new material and hopes to issue a new CD in the first half of the year. Many thanks to everyone who has supported us through the years, especially Belinda, Suzanne, Paul, Megs, Toff Dogg and Impulz for spreading the word. Here's to the future!DISCOGRAPHY: Nocturnal (2001), Fatal Days (2002), RMX (2003), "Gimme Some Love" single (2004), Insomniac (2005), Neon Audio (2006). Order any of these CDs now.
