About Me

Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Watermelon

I'm a professor at the University of Houston. I joined MySpace hoping to meet people, but I found that this was a wonderful source for my research. My first book project focuses on cultural representations of Mexican migration to the United States. Currently, I am comparing rock and hip hop bands in the US and Mexico and seeing how migration is represented within these two types of music. My second project will be about the rock en espanol scene in Houston. If you have any information to pass along, I would love to hear from you.
