I am here for Friends

About Me

If I have to describe myself in a few short words,
it would be 'silly, sardonic, sophomoric'
And just because alliteration rocks, 'sinister & sweet'.
Half of what I think or say is some sort of pop-culture reference.
Movies, wrestling, music, tv..they're all fair game.
The rest of it is usually nonsense.
Yet deep down inside..there is another Marco.
A serious and intelligent Marco.
It just doesn't like to rear its ugly head that often.
I can be pretty introvert if I don't know you,
but extrovert if you are one of my pals.
I love wrestling, watching movies, music, and games.
I have been playing a mud for more than a decade now.
It's an online adventure-ish game, all text based.
It is called Avatar (www.outland.org)
and I am one of the administrators these days.
My character there has a whole roleplaying background. Fun.
Kariya The Dark Fire
Born out of the union between a female human and the evil Demon lord Belag,
Kariya is rather evil, and even more sardonic than I tend to be IRL.
How he rose to power and how he learned to deal with his human side,
can be found on this homepage
Cool stuff I already did in 2008
- Demon Quest! Fcking A!
- New Freakin' York (nuff said)
- Concerts: Smashing Pumpkins, Black Crowes, dEUS
- Orlando- Wrestlemania 24 baybeeee!
- Quespoint Catalog! Woohoo!
- Ubercon X!
Stuff to do in 2008
- Carnival, damnit!
- More stateside visits?!
- Find a new/better job
- Shred some extra pounds

My Interests

Get ready to be blown away by my exciting list of interests.
No really. This is earth shattering stuff.
Wrestling
Gaming (xbox360)
Mudding (Avatar!)
Movies
Hockey (go Ducks, Rangers)
Reading
Play my guitar.
YOU! (who are you, what brought you here, etc. Let me know!
Current favorite wrestlers:
Edge, CM Punk, London/Kendrick, the Hardys, Finlay
Samoa Joe, Motor City Machine Guns, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, LAX
Bryan Danielson, Austin Aries, The Briscoe Brothers
And ofcourse Mickie James, Melina..and *sniff* Trish Stratus

I'd like to meet:

I'm not one of the easiest people to get to know, since I can be both introvert and extrovert. Once you're one of my friends I'll be all over ya. Until then I'll be the quiet guy in the corner. So keep that in mind when we do meet.
I like people who like to have some fun, but also have a more serious side. Ponder the meaning of life and such (other than 42).
I wouldn't mind meeting the right girl, but I never actually looked actively. And then of course when I do come across someone I like, I screw up, and I act like a fool. (cue sad music)
Meeting Celebs?
Guess there are several people I would like to shake hands with, or talk to, pick their brains or just hang out with.
Guys like Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne would be nice to just high5. While others, like Vince McMahon, Kevin Smith and Michael Moorcock I'd like to sit down with and do the picking/hanging with.

Music:

Short version of a really long list:

From the old days:

(Bill & Ted, Wayne's World, Fast Times at Ridgmont High, American Pie, etc)
I have over 600 dvds so as you can imagine, there is a lot to pick from..

Television:

I actually don't watch that much TV programs.
Other than Wrestling shows that is...
If I watch stuff it's on DVD or *blush* downloaded from the net.

Salvatore (Dark Elf trilogy, Legacy of the drow, etc) and most other Dark Elf related 'Forgotten Realms' books (War of the Spider-queen, etc) A new favorite of mine is the 'Song of Ice and Fire' series by George R.R. Martin.
A lot more grownup than many other fantasy themed stories. I can't wait for the next part!
Lord of the Rings saga ofcourse, plus other writings by Good Old JRR.
The Midkemia (and related) books by Raymond FeistThe Ring - Koji Suzuki :)
