I am an anarchist in my personal life ... but I do not feel we have evolved far enough as a species to make anarchy work in society itself. We still need some kind of government (not the current murdering fucks) to transfer the wealth from those who have too much, to those who have too little, to make sure important projects get done, and keep territorial humans from screwing over and killing each other. sic.

I definitely think the farty old left is as much an enemy as the conservatives now in power, as far as turning people off to activism and change. Resistance should be fun. Resistance is not some pain in the ass, it is not just good for the soul it is uplifting spiritually.
Remember how much fun you had shooting spit wads at the teacher in seventh grade? Imagine applying that kind of attitude to actually fucking with government!

How The Great Satanic Glory Faded
When I got into punk I was just a kid, I loved the clothes, the music, the colors and the do not give a fuck attitude. As I sat there eating Tommy's burgers and fries, listening to Crass or T.S.O.L. life was peachy. I loved the record sleeves and the smell of new Vinyl (yes no cd's then kiddies). I did not care whether a band was on a big label or small ... as long as spit out fast music and had something shitty to say about the establishment, that was ok for Me.

For years, I have waved a middle finger at the mundane and mediocre fashions and trends that seem to define the towns in which I have lived. Now, I am a very understanding person, I am not blindly prejudiced against anyone and everyone who does not share my taste in music and clothing. People who genuinely like how they look in pink and blue and Roxy and Nike deserve just as much respect as we who love ourselves in self-altered creations and band tees.

I have lived my life in combat boots, spikes, chains, and patches and taken all the pressure and pains that comes with the territory. I have been assaulted, insulted, and generally shunned because I did not fit snugly into the fashionable. I was threatened with death, for my audacity in wearing a fishnet shirt and black make-up and nail polish to school on the odd occasion.

I, for one, know that I will always continue to stand fast against the establishment, and against the fashionable and the trendy. In addition, even if punk forever loses its true definition I will still know what it means, because what it means is who I am.

Wake up and Smell the Noise!
Stop censorship in any form;
Stop cuts in education spending;
Stop telling women what to do with their bodies;
Stop snooping on law abiding people;
Stop profiling people based on race or religion;
Stop wars based on lies, oil or pre-emption;
Stop government sponsored torture;
Stop calls for the draft;
Stop mandatory minimum drug laws;
Stop the criminalization of marijuana;
Stop denying money for AIDS;
Stop denying universal medical care;
Stop the Patriot Act;
Stop detaining people without due process;
Stop denying marriage based on gender;
Stop denying rehabilitation in prisons;
Stop denying student aid to people who try drugs;
Stop cheating in elections;
Stop the No Child Left Behind testing;
Stop building prisons;
Stop ignoring the environment;
Stop drug testing in schools;
Stop the death penalty;
Stop prohibitions against medical marijuana;
Stop politics based on religion;
Stop promoting corrupt and unethical politicians.

One of the worst forms of censorship is what YOU are not being told.
